I still find myself stunned at the almost kindergarten level of GL's RNS. I am just not able to convey how poor his response is. Almost a "f**d if I care, I'm going off to Bermuda on holiday" response from a guy, who has been very handsomely paid for his 'efforts'..

"The CRL states that the FDA cannot approve the NDA in its present form and indicates that additional data are needed to further evaluate the risk for liver toxicity before the NDA may be approved. Motif Bio plans to request a meeting with the FDA as soon as possible to discuss potential options to address the deficiencies". GL should have written more in this RNS especially in response to this line from the FDA. It's not a write-off and he maybe could have highlighted that a little maybe.

I am speechless and very considerably poorer. Everything pointed to a major thumbs up here. It beggars belief and has costs us dearly. And all this time GL has been getting paid handsomely each year, for his efforts. It sucks

The.Italian you are absolutely spot on. I personally do not expect this share to be any higher than 50p by the end of the week, irrespective of what day the RNS comes out. I am hoping for 80p (otherwise, Mrs Sheltie will cut my appendage off!), but that is by the end of this year, not by the end of next week! Well, Ivy, very good luck to you with both. It’s been a bloody long haul trip this one and we deserve success. You bought in about ten minutes before me (I just couldn’t get a buy away!) on day one and we were literally the very first to start posting here! Seems an eternity ago now. You have been incredibly patient with people here, answering questions for four years and remaining calm and unemotional - unlike me! I got a bit stressed out a few times I grant you - but not now. It’s done. We can only wait and hope. I am 100% confident on approval. For me, it is now 100% about what GL has been doing over the last six months. This for me, and this alone, will define how far MTFB’s share price goes. Good Luck with MTFB and also with Man Utd .....

personally I think it is very simple. PI's panic and sell. I was able to buy (dummy) 150,000 with absolute ease earlier, suggesting that there is plenty of free stock out there for those that wish to buy at this point. This was ALWAYS going to be volatile this week; I wrote this last week so no it's not a hindsight thing! It is perfectly normal and especially on AIM which attracts a lot of much smaller punters with much less experience. As a result, they do tend to take fright pretty easily. This may fall further yet today, so just sit back and wait out a decision from the FDA and GL's follow-up RNS. It's out of our hands now folks......
