These are very impressive results and pretty much could not have been bettered, in my opinion. Any ‘negatives’ are very minor and can be largely discarded. I would expect a strong surge early doors here today, as the numbers, which is all that counts, have proven themselves. ‘Sentiment’ is nice, but ‘fact’ is a whole lot better. . . . ATB

To those who may be interested, here are Barclays’ latest Technicals:- TR is £4.67p. R1 is 489.85p. R2 is set at 539.35p. ATB. :)

Moneyboy5000 - Barclays were spot on, on the way down; so I'm sticking with them, for the way back up. TR is now 457.87p. R1 is 506.15p and R2 is 595.73p. I'm now just 4p away from breakeven and don't intend to sell . . . but it is entirely your choice, as Watchman rightly says; we all have different exit strategies and risk appetites. ATB

UPDATE: Barclays has now moved on Resistance1 (R1). It is now at 442.70p. R2 remains at 513.05p and Trading Resistance (TR) remains as before, at 429.42p. Very dynamic and fluid at present. . . .

Charles, no I think it's the knock-on effect, from Western Governments agreeing to further expand punitive 'Financial Sanctions' against Russia. They now appear to be being sucked-in to the general financial melee that that creates . .

Hi Didi888 - talk about being put on the spot! I guess, 'yes', this 'could' hit £5.13p in the next few days in the run-up to 3/3, especially given how the last few trading days have gone; but I do not personally think that it will. I think that there may well be a slight 'cooling-off' period; which is no bad thing, as last time it didn't end well, shooting up so fast! The MM's may take the heat out of this for a bit (possibly drop it back to the -£4.29p range by close of play)? It depends a LOT on the 3/3 numbers and the on-going and increasingly nervous, geo-political situation. Both of those are big unknowns; so I'm personally approaching all of this with an "expect the unexpected approach". Those are just my gut feelings; so I could be a million miles out! Either way, hopefully you have been able to re-coup a lot of your paper losses at this point. . . . ATB

Been through TR (was £4.29p) as you all know; so next up is Resistance1 at £4.29p and R2 is then £5.13p. Blowing them away so quickly, that Barclays can hardly keep up. . . .ATB

Charles, I was going to wait until tomorrow, but Barclays have actually already moved on their Technicals. So, here they are, for those that care: Trading Resistance is now set at £4.30p (actually 429.90p to be super precise) and Trading Support is set at £372.59p. ATB

This has been lifted from the Market Watch round: “Cyber-security firm Darktrace soared 14.1 per cent, or 50.2p, to 407.2p as the incursion into Ukraine sparked fears that Western companies and governments could be hit by higher numbers of cyber-attacks from Russia, potentially increasing reliance on its services”.
Sad though, that such a tragic situation, sparks an uplift in DT. Ukraine, you are a very brave nation. Bullies, like Putin, never win, because they are in fact, always Losers.

Charles, you will doubtless be pleased to know that the Barclays Trading Resistance at 7am, was set at £3.68p. That at this stage at least, has been blown away, so it will be interesting to see what the new figure looks like on Monday.

yes anything below £4 is probably pretty much the preserve of the late entrants only. I have averaged down three times now having paid £3.27p last week; so my average is now in the mid £4's, which I thought was good. Oh well, it's still a lot better than it was two months ago - £6.18p. My holding is now four times what it once was back then; but I 'hope' that my additional purchases, will have been a worthy gamble.
