Flow well testing for helium typically takes anywhere from several days to several weeks, and in some cases, an extended test can last a month or more. The exact duration depends heavily on the specific objectives and reservoir characteristics of the well.
Typical Durations
Short-term tests: Initial flow tests to gather basic data on flow rates and pressure can be as short as 12 hours of flow with 18-hour pressure build-ups, repeating over several days.
Well evaluation phase: The entire initial testing phase for a single well is often expected to take approximately one to two weeks, sometimes as little as six days.
Extended Well Tests (EWT): To determine commercial flow rates and reservoir performance over an extended period, tests are often planned to last much longer.
I suppose we will have to get an update as to what tests they will be doing and how they intend to do it/equipment availability etc etc..
