Garwool I'm almost certain they couldn't share the met results before they have been RNS'd. But I'm sure there are exclusive things exchanged under the NDA's, for instance I expect the industry would want to see the raw data from Wardell Armstrong, not just the collated results. I'm guessing to be honest but there must be a purpose behind the NDA's so I'm assuming while they can't get price-sensitive information before it's made public perhaps they are allowed to see behind it, if that makes sense?

I was thinking about the location of the final round of drilling and reckon it provides clues as to the roadmap. In the Oct presentation on strategy LR clearly favoured an ambitious drill outside the inferred to the east. This changed to a more conservative approach going inside the inferred area close to our indicated targetting the central mining zone. If you think about this in the context of LR's comment "We talk to people from industry and we get asked questions, and we feed back those questions into the process, and are quite pleased when we can answer all of them" it suggests that a potential miner wanted 100% confidence that the prospect is economic in its initial phase over knowing more about possible extensions. It also ties in with the decision not to add the findings to the JORC, preserving cash is likely a factor but if we sacrificed the chance to drill in a way which could have had a greater impact on our JORC in return for rubber stamping phase 1 of the mine life then maybe it was unnecessary. In other words the purpose of these drills was never to increase the megatonnes but to de-risk on behalf of the potential miner.

Understood Newbie and I get your frustration at the RNS's .... let's just say lacking vibrancy. I did talk to LR about this and suggested some non-rampy energy in the regulated statements, after all we have a good news story to tell. My impression is that the news is presented for industry first and PI's second. In a way we should all take confidence in that, but it's an uncomfortable place for folk like myself who are backing this company at the moment.

....... just disappointed - who remembers that from school? Well a tough day on the markets generally and given that the geotechnical study didn't move the SP I guess the hydrology wasn't going to attract new investors despite its importance, especially in the current climate. As I said first thing we've had a couple of warm-up acts now and next it's hopefully the headliners with assays and mets due.

To everyone invested here I'll be clear about my position as I always have been. I have a big stake (for me anyway) in this project being successful, I believe it will be or else I'd have scarpered. I have never shied away from the risks and have voiced them on here enough times. I have also had my own criticisms of the company and again have openly expressed them on here, though my posts err heavily on the positive side. Why's that? well I believe it will come good and so far three independent professional bodies have rubber-stamped the operational work. My faith is in their integrity not the strange folk who find it tickles their endorphins to gloat about the SP. GLA honest posters.

I agree Trade - a clarification of what the copper means to this project is well overdue. It's been in the background since the shallow drilling, and has been the subject of positive comment from the Exec's more recently. However as we stand we're no clearer if it's just an interesting by-product or of actual economic value. I think there may be a clue in LR's reply to Teaye when he mentioned sequencing the processes, I suspect the second phase metallurgy is not just about lifting the zinc recoveries but also unlocking the copper. Intriguingly LR spoke in the plural about the '"Number of things about Toral in addition to the silver.....non-equity scenarios". I hope that's not just the limestone waste going to the cement works :) but maybe another string to our bow. Could just be semantics of course.

I don't think it's a good time for a share consolidation, there will be costs involved and we need to focus every penny on this final phase of works. Maybe if the company went forward in JV there would be a case for it but the preferred option is still to sell Toral. The SP is depressing to say the least but just try to hang in there until we get the final de-risking newsflow which is imminent. It's tough at a time like this but try and ignore the deliberately extraneous statements on this board and trust your own research.

Storey not a put-down but it's our only asset, which I think should be a positive for investors looking for a neat endgame, though it's also possible to put a negative spin on it I admit. We divested operations in SA early 2018 and then swiftly dispensed with Lago to concentrate on Toral.

A classic indeed Yamsel! Also I would note that he has almost as many interests in FTSE companies as the number of times you quoted 'Bird' in that lyric so the notion that he bought a stake in EUZ just to get a footing in a FTSE vehicle is way off - it was for Toral the asset.

Tom you must have heard it's not contained in China let alone Wuhan!?! Anyway my post was really supposed to start a non-alarmist discussion about what POG might be doing to mitigate the danger of any negative affects on production and whether they should be communicating it - I think that contributed to our battering today.

There's a big article in the NY Times about the effect of Coronavirus on the city of Blagoveshchensk on the Russia-China border. It mentions the Amur Bridge but isn't explicit on whether work is suspended. Most of the businesses getting badly affected are in the service industry and they don't have any reported cases yet but I wonder if our proximity to Blagoveshchensk and the Chinese border is weighing on us today? Our nearest operation to Blagoveshchensk is Pioner and at a rough Google Maps estimate I'd say it's about 300k's away and while our workers are likely to have family connections there they mostly live on site at our op's in accomodation blocks so we're actually well placed to remain isolated. I wonder if POG should put out a statement detailing how production can be maintained even if Coronavirus does cross the border.

I once got attacked by Mr Blobby at Bristol Kite Festival. As a South African you can count yourself very lucky that is probably outside your cultural frame of reference Bricks.

Good post Storey - I think if you're going to base your sentiment on whatever the last trade happens to be you'd be better off not looking :) I'm ever hopeful that the second phase metallurgy will get us past a de-risking tipping point where we will at least hold a rise. The market also needs proper evidence of the "non-dilutive funding options" rather than just comments in interviews which encourage believers like me but doesn't seem to be enough to get significant new money on board.

Hi Bricks do you know if the new legislation rendered MAGMA's work obsolete, hopefully a lot of what they were doing from Sep 18 is still relevant to the new process?

I should add I haven't read the 'Boletín Oficial' as I can't read Spanish, it might be clearer in there.

Hi Storey is that from the top? Interesting because the 28th March 2019 RNS (detailing the legislation change) doesn't make it explicit that you don't need the land-use licence just a change in the process.
