Thousands die every year in the UK from fuel poverty but the rich can't catch fuel poverty.

Hmmm we're all becoming pandemic experts all of a sudden so I'll just caveat my post by saying that this isn't my area of professional expertise. However it's pretty clear that the countries who have performed best have been miles ahead of the UK in testing regimes. Our strategies have been all over the place, always reactive not proactive unlike Germany. The Chief Medical Officer is starting to look quite haunted, certainly not looking forward to the public enquiry along with the Dpt of Health I'd say.

Can't agree with that Andy. MC & CB didn't buy their stakes to allow that to happen and DB didn't participate in the equity fundraising at 0.025 to get shafted in the manoeuvre you are suggesting. Anyway in the quantities they are supposedly buying they should have a controlling interest by the year 3020 :)

Yes interesting Brickz - worth noting as you mention the NPV that it was of course calculated before we had an indicated resource (plus expanded inferred), metallurgy proving commercial recoveries, geotechnical analysis lowering the CAPEX, latest drilling which isn't yet in the JORC but had elevated mineralisation that the lab wasn't initially calibrated to deal with and positive hydrology to date.

Well the other one was just ridiculous so we don't need to bother with that. Lor I think we all agree wage cuts are the appropriate thing in the current climate. If you have doubts about LR's incentive to make this succeed and you are already invested (then you're probably doing this the wrong way round) but contact him directly and put those points to him. You might get a feel for how motivated he is.

Interesting Bricks I have watched that quite a few times and never noticed the 'EU Grants' on the slide. I actually think LR presents really well so wouldn't be too critical of his idiosyncratic style but I always thought when he says "People ask me do you think you're undervalued and I say no" was not really what investors want to hear.

I admit I'm letting off steam a bit and like you Bobby I'd like to think they wouldn't be that reckless. I do think it's likely that they are looking at all costs before assessing how severe they have to be on salaries which is probably only human nature. Let's see how honourable they are and I'll be happy to eat humble pie if we see some genuine sacrifice. Who thinks any wage cuts will be with immediate effect or will be implemented from June though?

Agreed Mokster it shouldn't take a month, the truth is the delay is because they're testing how much pain everyone else associated with the company can take before looking at the big salaries.

Like the sentiment Mokgone and how moving is that speech! Sadly the Exec's don't seem to have a dream of protecting shareholders, rather prioritising Director wealth. This on 23rd March "The economic impact on the global economy of coronavirus (COVID-19) is being assessed by the Board, with strategic plans and budgets being revised accordingly, with the aim of conserving capital. Further announcements will be made as appropriate". One month on and nothing.....

Galah all the evidence points to a non-combative transaction. Everything we do is in consultation with interested parties, I think that might possibly be the reason that the unbelievable cores from 025 aren't being added to the JORC - we don't really need to prove more about the actual scale of the resource. It sounds like someone wants the deleterious elements tested again from a second zone which makes complete sense if you were considering an acquisition, wouldn't want any nasty surprises. The spatial representivity shows more de-risking but that could work massively in our favour given that the latest cores have shown the record mineralisation. I agree that LR's assertion that a major wouldn't bother aggressively acquiring a minnow and it would be considered bad form isn't completely reassuring but I do think it would be complex and could attract unwanted competition, safer and cheaper to pay a fair price in a frictionless transaction. Before this sounds too rampy I do worry about the global situation, running out of cash and perhaps unwanted attention from a low-mid tier player.

It's some kind of drilling exploration term unless I misheard but I can't find anything to explain it exactly. Anyone else wondering if they'll be a vaccine for CV before we hear about any pay cuts at EUZ?

Don't want to start the new chart controversy again but on the redrawn chart (following RI) it was 30th April 2014 that we dropped below these levels, didn't take long to bounce back did it......
