60-70% of trades in London are by algorithms. Is the company worth significantly less than it was last Friday? No of course not. Therefore there is no reason for such a large drop. Algorithms programmed to take short term profits have caused this to drop substantially.

I just asked ChatGPT and it said 5-10% chance of a commercial mine being developed by GSCU.

That was me. Who would trade £6 worth of shares??!! It’s an Algo trying to manipulate the price. This should have significantly re-rated, like MILA up 55% today! The UK economy would be much better if wiz kid mathematicians went into industry and did meaningful things rather than go into the City and dream up fancy formulas to manipulate the market.

It can be so frustrating. I started invested in Fresnillo about 18 months ago and it didn’t move for ages despite gold reaching record highs and silver doing well. Analysts would tweet, “what the hell is going on”. But it eventually moved and I’ve doubled my money.

With these results and a ridiculously low valuation I’m starting to wonder if a big miner might make a speculative bid. £100m would be a steal for this company!

The market is future facing. If the market believes it will make £50m/year profit in the future then it will value it at £500m based on 10 PE ratio. Look at the ridiculous PE ratios for big tech firms.

Another example. Greatland Gold was 0.06p/share in Oct 2015 and then went to 36.9p in Dec 2020 so hopefully we won’t have to wait 17 years for the big pay day!

Yes I’m well aware of that. I’m happy to have my money here for years. NVIDIA was sub $1 for over 17 years. Look at it now!

Can anyone really see this company not being able to make £50m profit a year given i) the size of the mining area, ii) the test results, iii) location close to the coast, iv) infrastructure close by to get the copper/gold/silver to market easily, v) and a lot of that close to the surface so relatively cheap and easy to get? If you can’t, then that suggests a minimum £500m valuation, 50p/share, 10P/E. Happy to be shot down!

That buy of 12,270 at 3.94p was mine. Gives me a nice round 500k of shares at break even price of 3.12p. GLA!!!

This seems to move up at 2:30pm. I suspect this means there’s some group of Yanks who’ve spotted this as a great buy. What do others think?
