Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Yes impecunious2 one would think Brad would want to be closer to the action. Colombia is about as far away from Perth as you can get being around I think a 22 hour flight away.
Webb's stating that you've never seen a share like it due to the prolonged drops is only looking at the pessimistic side. When we were going up in folds you could have made the same arguments the other way. The whole sector is down and covid delays are affecting everyone. We are not especially down more than others so there is nothing flawed here. The fundamentals are still strong compared to our rivals which will catapult us forward at a great rate once the outlook improves. What I am seeing here is investors running out of patience but the current situation should be recognised for what it is and be prepared for it to persist a little while longer. I'm sure the rewards will follow for those prepared to dig in and wait.
Sotolo you are incorrect. Most juniors are down by roughly a third compared to highs a few months ago. One example would we UFO (Alien metals) they are currently trading at a third of the price they were compared to a highs of last October. I could provide more examples as there are many but we are not unique by being down by these amounts and this does not point to anything being fundamentally wrong here.
Mamba although it's depressing to watch the shareprice at these levels, we are not here because the company has some huge flaw or is in some kind of trouble as it's just a case of the whole mining sector being down and by similar amounts to us so we are not suffering any greater than most juniors. We must remember that when the sector begins to recover and we get some individual good results then this can fly back up in no time at all and certainly more quickly than most due to the incredible low price and mcap which provides scope for huge future potential. It's only a matter of time before the sector improves or we start to drill better areas providing exciting results. We can't predict when this will occur but we know it's coming and it's just a case of showing patience and keeping the faith. I've recently written to Brad and he is still confident that the drill results will speak for themselves and that's all I need to know.
Debt not dept
Webb's lose all interest if you like but it's the same for all others in this sector GGP, UFO etc have all been slowly declining in share price from s few months ago so we are not unique in this aspect. Where we are unique however is we have 2 majors, no dept and an accelerated drill programme which will ensure when the sector starts to recover then we will recover quicker than most given our advantages compared to others.
Chickenlegs topping up and waiting for the lowest entry point is never an easy call. All we can say is we are so far under the placement price that there can't be much room for further drops surely but none of us have a crystal ball.
Yes impecunious2 many posters are giving the impression that our slide is somehow worse giving the impression there is some fundamental flaw here we are all missing. The reality is that we are no worse off than other juniors during these times but in a far better position to reap the rewards when the sector picks back up. I still think it will be a while yet before the sector picks up but pick up it will. Patience is the only thing needed here.
Webb's it's not really down more than most juniors although it's depressing seeing the large retrace but we must put this into perspective. Having studied a few other miners then we are not unique by suffering a brutal slide. We normally compare ourselves to GGP which has had a similar slide but looking at UFO (alien metals) they are currently at a third of the shareprice compared to highs of October last year. So the fact we are down to about 14p and feels like a huge retrace, it's not really any worse than other juniors and if you take UFO for example then we are much better placed given our fundamentals to bounce back quicker when the market / covid situation improves.
Webb's what crap. They don't need money for placing at and stating not many interested in this share is pure speculation. More likely to be a case of because we are in a period of the covid hangover with not much happening, some impatient investors such as yourself are getting frustrated.
Audible let's hope that with Graham now at the helm you make enough to buy another property.
Good post i-man. Looks like the board doom and gloom merchant has replied, no doubt trying to shoot you down in flames for having the audacity to paint SOU in a favourable light. We are definitely more likely to succeed than fail and I can't think of a better leader than Graham to be at the helm.
Tincan there are a few posters that seem to unfairly put the boot into Graham. To date he hasn't really done anything wrong but appears to have done much right which is impressive considering the position he has inherited even though there is still plenty for him to overcome he appears to be getting to grips with things even though the timescale is impacted by covid and other distractions such as the historic tax bill. There is such a legacy of bitterness left over from the antics of the previous board that some are totally blinded by hatred and regret that will forever haunt them but at least there is a chance that the company can at least rescue something that many had previously given up on. We can't expect Graham to **** miracles overnight but he has proven capable enough thus far for many to appreciate he is steering the company in the right direction which will eventually transfer to a rising shareprice in the near future.
Over 10% up so happy days. No need for negativity this weekend.
Thanks utility. Nothing wrong warning posters that there is a reason that their positivity is being snuffed out unfairly based on the bitterness of someone who has already sold most of their holding.
Daveyboy this is what PS does. Attacks any poster that hints at positivity due to her selling up at the wrong time and now haunts this board in bitterness. She produces paragraph after paragraph of previous RNS in a bid to con you she knows more than anyone else and is the superior being yet the reality is that it's a pointless exercise unless you can actually read and interpret all what you have churned out. This is why she is really clueless and sold out at the worst time before the recent rise and then went on to make another huge mistake by investing in PVR which weeks later is now worth half what she paid. As I've said previously it's a case of all fur coat and no nickers.
Good luck indeep just don't to a PS and throw your money into something that will half in the next few weeks.
Yes up over 13%. Hope it continues to build especially to the annoyance of the doomsters on here.
Sotolo I must beg to differ. We are derisked to a certain extent but admittedly not fully but certainly a lot more compared most juniors.
We have 2 majors, free carry and funds in the bank to last short to medium term so we are derisked and in a far better position compared to others in this sector.
Over 10% up. Try putting a negative on that.
