There was likely a period of offers and counter offers, then a final company or group of companies who won and had to offer based on current price and on price on final valuation. Final valuation is still due through the dfs which they have said is coming by the end of the month. There will be no other update until these results are published in my opinion.

Guitarman, that's easily avoided, don't pay yourself straight away. Invest it through your company into property, rent it out and use the rental money as income in a few years when you've paid off the properties. Any extra money in the business each year then buys another property. Pay no tax till you're ready. All depends on your current age and lifestyle aims.

Or invest heavily in something on a crowdfuning site like Seedrs website, ensure it's in an EIS relief option and claim back 30% of your investment against tax you pay this year?

Open a business and give it a go, write off your tax by using it to buy things and make even more moneeeeeeeeeeeey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the recent RNS, I believe this is simply what they have been waiting on. See below:

If I was selling a company I would want to show that it can be made more productive and increase the speed of refinement etc. As he has said "The company is committed to its strategy"- ie, selling up at the best price. This is the final announcement and I believe this will show a higher price in the end.
