RE: Twitterarti21 Dec 2021 17:51
Sausage in my mind brokers, Twitter and this board are all a source of information and in turn each investor has to do their own research and invest as they best deem appropriate. As an investor, it's your money, your research and your decision.
Personally I think that the key criteria with any company needs to start with: is the board smart and well connected or have they just no chance either intellectual or financial? I know and spoke with some board members as I also invest in Advance Energy and they are definitely smart and connected.
Next, are they aligned with the investors having put some money into the company or being shareholders or just there as a lifestyle company. They have a stake at 5p, so they have not 10 bagged from where they came in and at 10p we have the opportunity to invest early in this vehicle.
Next, what is the strategy? From their webpage: The investment strategy of Roquefort Investments plc is to provide Shareholders with an attractive total return achieved primarily through capital appreciation. The Directors believe that there are numerous investment opportunities within both private and public businesses in the Medical Biotech sector in United Kingdom, Continental Europe & Australia. The Board, through its extensive network of contacts, has identified a number of potentially interesting investment opportunities.
They have identified this transaction and been able to close a deal to buy the target asset and have funds to fund the next steps.
Next step, what is the MCAP and can it become far greater? MCAP is only £7mio and we all know that if they have done a smart acquisition as they think, the resulting MCAP COULD be a multiple.
I have backed them, as these guys are smart and I think they associate with the right people to make this a big success for investors, themselves included. Before being negative, let's see what the next steps in 2022 are (guess they appoint a smart CEO etc). Time will tell if I was correct in backing them.
In respect of Twitter, you are correct, there some complete pump and dump guys out there, but you, I and others hopefully understand after a while who is worth following to get ideas and who is best avoided. My suggestion is to use as I do twitter to follow only a few people (see my twitter @Stefano_shares to see what I mean) but never buy anything without DYOR on the company itself, the board, strategy, skin in the game, sector, MCAP, technicals etc.
