To deleverage is to reduce outstanding debt without incurring any new debt. The goal of deleveraging is to reduce the relative percentage of a business's balance sheet funded by liabilities.

‘Comprehensive deleveraging transaction’

Ok this is the crux of the whole matter is it not. Cineworld announced the following in their RNS which stated:-

‘Consequently, the Group has been taking proactive steps to ensure it has the balance sheet strength and flexibility to adapt to market conditions. This includes significant previously disclosed operational and financial initiatives to manage costs and enhance liquidity. The Group believes these steps are required to optimize its ability to maximize enterprise value as part of the recovery in the cinema industry.



In connection with these initiatives, the Group remains in active discussions with various stakeholders and is evaluating various strategic options to both obtain additional liquidity and potentially restructure its balance sheet through a comprehensive deleveraging transaction. Any deleveraging transaction will likely result in very significant dilution of existing equity interests in Cineworld.

The Group's business operations are expected to remain unaffected by these efforts and Cineworld expects to continue to meet its ongoing business counterparty obligations. Cineworld continues to welcome guests to its cinemas across its global markets as normal, without disruption.‘

So the effect of this is that it’s already had an effect on equity holders look at the SP but the reality is this that they will deleverage via other methods i.e. offload some of their cinemas reduce the amount of operations and reorganise financial structure but once done and reorganised whether within or outside voluntary chapter 11 the share price would not be at 2.
Think logically. Reality is this will be going way north of here.

I’m off to the cinema this weekend like two finance articles read today it’s streaming that is on the downturn everyone has watched far too many box sets on the sofa. It’s time for blockbuster renaissance it’s coming and social trend companies have already identified this as one that’s already in motion. In fact CINE coffers have increased as it plays Covid catch up. I jolly well think we will look back and kick ourselves that we managed to buy at these insane lows.

Personally I’m bored of watching tv streams Netflix Amazon ‘on the sofa’ it is all becoming boring and I know a lot people think same -we’ve all watched far too much if it. Going to the cinema should be in a renaissance and I believe it will. People do want to get out and go out it’s an event - a meal some drinks and the cinema- kids want to go and see movies at a movie theatre. It will revive naturally.
I can’t see cinema disappearing any time soon! Are we going to see Hollywood close down and actors give up acting - are we hell as like!

The spread is absurd and clearly being designed to try and thwart buyers and get sellers of stock lol but isn’t happening, not working - sellers have a word with yourselves you might as well post off your share certs to PO Box BOO head office - are you a charity or investors? Market is trying it on to sway investors to give them up trying to force people into a range BUT it’s just getting bought up. Think Market Makers and BOO/other institutions will be forced to accept they can’t have their way here. They’ve paid much higher than current and will be doing so again. Then we have the snowball effect which will push this into 40/50 range soon. That’s only when they may see some stock release from current holders. Message is it needs to go up if they want to achieve their goal and get there first before pi’s mop up too!

No Broad you’ve got it absolutely. Where’s the stock going to come from they want it they will need to pay higher. Ignore the pullback and buy when they let you. 30’s in next hour there’s no appetite for anyone to sell now. Traders are out who bought lower. Opportunity is knocking loudly buying all the way here!

Got to be a strong buy for anyone’s money here backed up by the big boys from BOO and gives massive confidence to other ii buying. The trouble is there’s not enough stock so if they want them and they need them they will be paying more. Investors aren’t simply going to hand them over. BOO’s stake will be our of the game and puts even more pressure on the stock price.
I fully expect to see a very good leg up today now the cat is out of the bag.

If they’ve been ‘forward sold’ then the market maker handling them and the ii responsible would need to be investigated you’re not allowed to forward sell that’s market manipulation

The firm confirmation by RS report of our huge assets hasn’t apparently added anything to the market cap indeed they have priced it such as it’s down valued us.

Trading at 20+ on open and since then been dragged and dragged and dragged back despite heavy buying - pi have been subject to Mr Market doing what he’s doing this morning the entire week which is to switch the Bid Ask and then do the swipe down classic tactics so people think they can sell up and buy back in cheaper then wait for the reversal and repeat - I know I’ve said this many times but FCA NEED to look very closely here as this has been and is being directed. This is all to free up stock from retail to give to ii. Little workable float at this level other than to try and panic scare holders to let go - if you didn’t sell 3 x this level what’s the impetus to sell now? None the signal is BUY and a very STRONG BUY !!

Yep agree Iron not had first coffee yet £232,720 of course but no private investor and whoever it is it’s a LARGE BUY in a stock which is difficult to get hold of in that massive quantity at that entirely low level! There’s been some jiggery pokery to fill just that one order. It wasn’t filled with stock from conversion notes who paid 16.75 was it - that’s not how this works lol

If they’ve converted at 16.75 WHY are people selling below this price the ii can’t sell below or lose money it cost him 16.75 to convert. What on earth have a word with yourselves that you think Mr Market is playing fair here and pricing us on open at this level even he knows that ii won’t sell up here now at this point in time. The CLN have been converted into stock into shares at a price paid of 16.75. Why do silly posters think that’s responsible for the SP to be dragged down. The key message here is they’ve been converted they paid 16.75 for the privilege we right now can buy at 14 so I’d be buying buying buying like there’s no tomorrow here as we lowly pi are able to boys well below what ii conversion price is.
Mr Market is filling LARGE ORDER BUYS like the 2.3 million pounds spent on buys at close yesterday filled with pi’s ex stock now!

If they forward sold the bonds and bought them back cheaper then FCA should refuse to allow the conversion to go ahead now that would put the cat amongst the pigeons or indeed the pigeons would be in control here not the fat cat ii - that’s would spell huge trouble for them!

Not able to happen the price is 16.75 presently and stating that way until time frame above elapses if RBL not complete in that time frame OBVIOUSLY it will be mate it was a temporary bridge days weeks not even months!

Is being used as the fake ‘resistance’ if you are interested - so ii buy in is around this level - the market manipulation is no fanciful idea it’s reality here. We will know when they are done when the MM responsible doesn’t switch it when buys come in at that level. Astounding they THINK they can get away with it…
