Hi Dean, pretty sure new product is aimed at females predominantly as IDP has stated cross marketing opportunities with ST customer base - IMHO one of the products may be something to do with shaving (legs, other areas etc).
Roots is a unisex product but i have mentioned to IDP a few times it is too female focused - all before and after facebook pictures are women etc. I use it and like it but feel an extension specifically focused on men e.g to include a hair thickener would go down well. Incidentally IDP replies state that it has always been an unisex product and there are a number of mens images on their website!
H2 last year Roots stopped growing rev despite being in more stores, H1 2020 numbers will be interesting, especially as there is more shelf space in Boots now (but not yet more Boots stores).
Also interesting to see C+L numbers now that it is in so many more stores and xmas gift range was expanded from 3 to 7.
If new product takes off plus growth in Roots, C+L, and Prolong then in a few years reliance on ST will be reduced. I think FinnCap has stated ST will be 78% revenues for 2020 - hopefully nearer 50% in a few years.
All positive for IDP at these prices IMHO
