Everything is down atm though, don't forget boe has just increased interest rates again and the point of increasing interest rates is to get people to stop spending money to reduce inflation. If you're a retail share which this is then that's definitely a bad thing. Where we were 3 weeks ago Vs now is different climate. Closer to a recession and higher interest rates with more on the way. The price will increase next week just got to get out of the bad news and hopefully be at a stable but increasing price. This is a lth don't get hung up on the daily.

Wow you really think it will drop that low? It's not inconceivable but seems a bit of a drop.

I want to keep a diverse portfolio not everything in thg, I said free cashflow not what's already invested elsewhere. I generally only buy dividends paying stocks, this is a rule break for me but I think there's enough return long term to sit and wait it out.

Wish I had the spare cashflow I would have dumped everything in here now. It's dropped by 11+% I've got bank shares which I'd expect to drop by more but they are like 2%, even boos only dropped by 6%. When thg bounces it will go up very quickly.

It was bouncing around £1.13ish, if it does drop further I will buy in unless something paying a dividend looks more interesting. Market as a whole is in a dumpster today.

Crazy if it does, considering it was around £3 on possible takeover. It's one to watch for sure, if they maintain dividends levels then it's currently at 6% based on today's cost.

If we get a dividends maybe I could see us pushing over £1 but having invested from £2.40 down I won't count my chickens.

If things turn back to something normal there will be less companies trading for the same business. How many have gone bust? How has that affected consumer confidence in random unknown suppliers? I think long term Centrica will find it's feet and be a decent share. Maybe not paying crazy dividends but current situation should set them on the right track quicker. I'd be hoping for £1.50 in the next 2 years. Maybe I'm an optimist

If it's true is the ceiling set at £2.50 a share? Luckily I've got a decent averaged holding but I've seen people in here holding for much more than £2.50. Hope they don't get burned if this turns out to be true.

I'd love to see this over £1 but pre-covid lockdown this was around the 90p Mark and giving a dividend. I know situation is vastly different but still I'm sceptical of it shooting to £1 quickly, I feel there will be a little more up and down but a gradual creep up to the £1 mark.

I'm just glad it's finally in the positive for me, the question is what's the ceiling and how strong are peoples nerves to see through the further upside. This should be over £2 within a few months I feel if more talk of offers keeps growing.

So just looking at the price chart of RR and we peaked at 1.43ish in October/ November and dropped to where we are currently. My question is this other than inflation and war why are people expecting this shares to tank to 50p? Seems there's more positive about the company and its future than negative outlook. Maybe it'll take 6 months to grind it's way back up to £1 but surely the trajectory of RR is only upwards now barring anything external causing a downward trend.

19/05 is the ex date. You can sell them tomorrow (19th) and still get dividends, which will be paid out on 24/06. I'm a long term holder in tesco and have no intention of selling.

You think they'll pay anything given current climate on cost of living and energy companies making too much profit or possible windfall tax?

I might I'm expecting some dividends payments to land in tomorrow. Although I'm also tempted by dlg at its crazy low price considering it offers dividends and this doesn't it's a toss up potential growth Vs div and a minor bump

Currently £1.26 I couldn't bring myself to average down more. Was only meant to be holding a minimal amount as a punt. Thankfully it's only like sub 5% of my portfolio and other areas are carrying it.
