There is more to this share fall than just Trump. Definitely being shorted aggressively but not clear yet why. Am underwater but will likely just sell up when I come up for air as the argument of large director buys is no longer valid IMO

This was heading in the right direction and looking like it was going to rerate much higher. Whilst I appreciate yesterday was not a great day on the markets I did expect this to bounce today. A difficult share to fathom especially after all the director purchases.

let’s face it all shares are being hit today and so not the best day to release this news. if the ftse 250 was up today there is no way this would as low as it is at the moment. things are definitely not good at wood and it is a **** show of their own making and the ceo should fall on his own sword. his only way out to safe face is for the company to be sold. through devious means i am aware of the negotiations ongoing but it’s such a tight ship that any information would out the leak. it will be sold at a price well below last year’s negotiations. the bid price will likely be made public this week. the ft may leak it soon and if leaked it’s a managed leak.

The offer price must surely be the subject of a leak soon? A lot of work going into keeping this down but a leak will really hit those shorting. It will also tell others who may have an interest what price is being considered potentially leading to counter offers. Nobody in an auction is going to bid for something unless they know the opening bid. So you are not going to see say 220 bid in case the opening offer is say 120. You wait then when you know you bid 130. How auctions work. Please FT let everyone know the leaked offer price!

There is the alternative that they don’t want Wood sold so buying up more voting right would also make sense. As it’s stuck at this price means if they were out voted they win and if they tip the vote against they win as the share price is unlikely to fall much before recovering aided by more Blackrock share purchases.

If Sidara don’t make an offer soon then I will, just to stop this endless dribble on here! Even watching PM questions is now more bearable.

We have started off following the FTSE 250 but do need to recover some ground still. Can see this at 295-320 before next inflection point.

JP Morgan! For what reason I can only hazard a guess. I think it has something to do with percentage of shares owned by the family in order to become part of the FTSE 250.

Either way this plays out I will be happy. If the company is taken over I profit, if no takeover then have sufficient funds to fill my boots when it hits bottom and enjoy the ride back up. I think this will go through and I’m guessing about £2 making it a win win all round.

Found some reference to take over offer on X but now deleted. Anyone else see anything referencing this?
