RARE ALERT: Angus Energy plots multi-million pound equity fundraising
Monday, 29 April 2019, 5:21 pm
Angus Energy, the oil explorer run by the son of Lord Lucan, is working on a plan to raise up to £5 million from equity investors.
People claiming to be familiar with the matter said Angus Energy is looking to raise between £3.5 million and £5 million from investors via a Placing and an Open Offer.
It's believed the new shares will be issued at between 4.5p and 5p, said people claiming to be familiar with the matter.
It's not clear why Angus Energy is raising the money but people suggested the funds could be used for working capital or an acquisition.
The deal is thought to be "imminent," said people claiming to be familiar with the matter.
Earlier this year, George Bingham - son of the Lord Lucan that went missing in 1974 and now the eighth Earl of Lucan - became managing director of Angus Energy after Paul Vonk was ousted as as the boss of the oil firm.
Angus Energy, which is one of several small British companies that is trying to prove oil can be commercially produced in the home counties of England, declined to comment.
So obvious
This share does not seem able hold steady at all and 850 seems to be barrier. With all the director buys would expect this over 1000 by now!
I really do not understand how directors can make such large purchases and be seemingly content to concede such heavy loses. What do they know that we do not know? At the monent it seems to act more like an AIM share!

Had same question yesterday and contacted broker. They stated 26th Feb.
All buys into close despite showing as sells.
I am of the opinion it was not the drill that put paid to Vonk but the funding agreement. With Lord Lucan's connections I would not be surprised if we went in a different direction. One more beneficial to share holders and the company especially as oil is flowing. IMHO
Do not forget how few shares are in issue meaning when it does rise it will be fast and sustained. Free shares and happy to wait. Not expecting £14 but am expecting £2.50
"well is No longer connected to the chokes / oil seperator / oil heater". What is the likely reason/significance of this change?
Can anyone tell me if investing in this is any different from other shares. When I looked at buying a warning I had not seen before appeared so did not buy. Anyone advise?
This all about risk and at the moment it is high risk. I can fully understand investors selling as it could fall on red or black. The antics of the company have changed the the way the company is perceived and have made it a much higher risk share than it needed to be. I am invested here but much reduced over the last couple of weeks. Without communication we rely on rumour or questionable witnesses.
4v1
Anyone else having software issues with the Halifax platform for buying? Button greyed out????.
I agree that poll vote must be demanded and the best way forward fro Vonk.
