and gazing at the moon but nobody,(including the Posters here and the Bod), has given any rationale for the sp drop. And the Bod knows the answer to that question. Don't doubt it.It must be linked in some way to the CPR,(which could have been released three months ago, because none of the known details were altered in the final document. We're back to the share management on the company's behalf. Or more accurately we never left it. Next move, I suspect will be the consolidation. A hugely disappointing phase for long term holders. Come on Bod lets have some positive facts instead of delays and omissions.

..why the CPR was delayed when all the information given was available three months ago and (one guesses), that it was delivered to the BOD months ago. It is extraordinary how the sp dropped 15% on, apparently, nothing. The daily number of shares traded is, (and has been for months), nothing for a company with 1.6B shares in issue.
Why have we not been informed about the institutional investors who, allegedly, bought into the placing?
The Sp now, after a plethora of hype is ,more or less as it was nine months ago. So I still think there is a high degree of SP management being exercised.
The poster who said "there is a reason for everything" was corrrect, and I'd like to know why the SP fell 15% on good news. In fact the only thing I regard as positive in today's debacle is that the innstitutional investors appear to be remaining on board- so far!!

Neither buys nor sells. No shares changed hands. Just a "housekeeping " transaction.

Since you raised it Thirdtimelucky 1, I don't think the company will be sold. If that were to happen it would have happened before the last finance raises, (loan and placing). No major oiler wants, or needs, to buy a hodgepodge of non op wells. They could buy Paradox and leave the non ops as the new Zephyr.

I think you've got it in one, Hoarder. Perhaps the BOD cannot find a suitable partner and they want to develop the assets at a more rapid pace and so they need another finance route.

I still find it a bit odd that we are being given no information in relation progress with the State well, nor production from the non ops, nor the hedging.That isn't sensitive matter.
Doubtless it will all come out soon. I hope. And there I rest my case.

Of course, V111JAS, A long low news period, (by ZPHR standards), with the SP more or less pegged, and investors waiting for the CPR. What we got was an unexpected placing.

1. Zephyr wouldn't have been given the debt facility to purchase the Williston acquisition without providing the details. Nor would they have been successful in the last placing if they hadn't provided the same details.
2. At the time of the placing the BOD was barred from participation because the members were considered insiders in relation to the CPR.
One guesses that the current "delay" is related to some kind of financial negotiation. What we do now know is that the BOD is not quite so transparent as we assumed they were. Good or bad !

..the BOD is having some difficulty getting the price they want for whatever it is they are trying to sell,( JV , finance or whatever), and so,(as before,) we are seeing the SP being pegged back. CH never meant the matter of the CPR to drag on for a month when he set out the "few weeks " timescale.
And whatever the blocking factor is it is also preventing the BOD from releasing production figures from the non op wells, progress with the gas sales, identification of the new institutional shareholders etc., and so it is clearly a serious matter. Nice to be optimistic but best to keep a relatively open mind.
But a good sign is that none of the major shareholders are selling any shares. And they certainly know exactly what's going on!!

Hi Womo, because I think that whoever takes this to the next stage will prefer a more manageable and appropriate market cap for a company of this size to be. It's already at £100m .Just imagine when it become a £B oiler. Image has an effect too, I think.

And interesting. So May I add a little of my own commentary!
Firstly, the CPR will only relate to Paradox (?) which can hardly be so complicated given the amount of data they've already retrieved that it merits such delay.
Secondly, how does one account for the fact that the SP has been managed for the past nine months? If the BOD had freely given details of progress over that period it would be at multiples of the current SP.
Thirdly, there is a great deal of information in relation to current production from the nonop wells which they have also ceased to report presumably for fear of stimulating the SP.
So my guess,(and that's all it can be), is that they are negotiating a deal,(farm in or sale), which necessitates keeping the SP pegged around the 6p mark and the number of shares traded daily at a ludicrously low level, while those trades are reported in a dreadfully unsequential manner.
My guess is that we'll soon see a deal of some kind together with a consolidation, and the latter is rarely to the advantage of the PI's.
As a by-the-way, why haven't we seen any details of the institutional investors who bought in at the last placing. There is a lot going on here that is being kept from the PI's so we must hope there is astonishingly good reason for all of it!!

Thanks for your thoughtful reply, MALBRAD, but I don't think Sproule is the blocker here. Firstly because it's been in the business since the 1950s and one assumes that they are not staking their reputation on this particular CPR. Secondly we need to recall that the BOD of Zephyr were debarred from the placing on the basis that they were effective insiders as they already were aware of details of the CPR, and CH has already heavily hinted at his personal satisfaction in that matter. That is what gives me confidence to suppose that the holdup is related to a commercial matter.

The SP has been managed since last June and that has been done with the connivance of the company and it's broker. The placing shenanigans had little to do with Covid. The delay clearly related to the fact that the company had expected to negotiate a better deal than that which it eventually got. Possibly the current delay to progress is also related to a deal which is not to the company's liking. All surmise, of course, but it would be good for shareholders to get a resolution. The Sp is currently about where it was nine months ago.

..for the long delay in producing ANY news and we (even as loyal investors), have no idea what that may be. The obvious fact that the US oil industry is very busy was adduced by CH as an unconvincing reason for not producing the CPR on which so much seems to hinge. Sadly we are not being given the facts, so it would be nice to have the agony concluded ASAP!

we don't often disagree but on this occasion yes.
1. the MMs frequently "maassage" Sps but my point is that in this instance, with a very low level of trading it wouldn't be worthwhile for them to do so.
2.Companies ,and their brokers, do help to manipulate share prices. You saw a clear instance of that when ZPHR was negotiating the recent finance and the SP was kept down to ensure the success of that exercise. That was clear.
Certainly large shareholders who can exercise some control may do so when they wish to sell but not necessarily beforehand.
The Zephyr SP is falling when the POI is around 100$ a barrel!
I believe it will all become obvious when the next set of information is released!

The SP activity is very little to do with the MMs. It's hardly worth their while to bother themselves for the sake of what they may gain from a paltry 100 or so trades daily.
It's the company and their broker who are doing the manipulation. As before! The guessing game is WHY? The next RNS should reveal wht's going on. So we'll just have to wait !

Ref. double figures. Yes so did I and indeed the ZPHR share price should be well into double figures by now. Go well.
