Deutsche Bank initiates Synairgen with 'hold' - target 8 pence
Must have been prompted by something going on?
Holder for a few years, been stung like many others on the P3. I have an expensive hobby investing in crap British biotechs.
Easy to drive the price down with fast algo trading. Biotechs getting smashed last month again, XBI index off 10% in the last month a good indicator. Any hints of delay to interest rate cuts and biotechs are one of the first sectors to get knocked down.
What utter rubbish. You think there is something virtuous about poverty in the past? Poverty is poverty, it's all relative to the times we live in. So somebody on benefits runs a car. What do you think they should get, a horse? If the Tories hadn't wiped out public transport - trains & buses - the young could get to college and afford to take lower paid jobs. If they hadn't wiped out all the industries there would be factory jobs for lower skilled people. What jobs are there for them? Overseas factories wiped them all out and AI will come after the next tier. Money spent on benefits is a fraction of what is wasted by government on useless projects - HS2, Carriers, PPE etc etc. Lets stop triple lock pensions for a start. Much easier to blame the local young thicko that "somebody knows" though. And no, i'm not a "champagne socialist" whatever the hell that is.
Yes, it is disappointing but not the end of the world. The numbers are moving in the right direction. In the current climate, all biotechs are smashed for anything other than massive beats. Bedwetters, shorters and day traders have smacked down so many biotechs over the last few years. I've never known the scene to be this bad for a long time. They then come to the boards and vent their frustrations with message after message because they can't hold.
If there is a forced seller, and not just the crowd jumping ship, why don't they deal directly with them and get it done rather than allowing the sp to tank like this? they can't own that many shares to cause a 50% drop since the last high.
Investing in biotech is rewarding but perilous. you have to kiss an awful lot of frogs before you get that rich prince, Diurnal, 4D, Synairgen, Renalytix etc etc etc. the graveyard is getting very crowded the last few years. I hope Destiny manage to fulfil theirs, and mine.
Paralysed? no. Just disappointed in yet another biotech's sp swirling around the pan. Interest rate holds didn't help but that stupid rns - another one - was self-inflicted. there was no need for it. hopefully there is some support around 48.
Thanks pop66, haven't the time or patience to post my every thought. Amidst the usual suspects there are many good people here who post great insights and useful info, so thank you to them - you know who you are! My username may give my age away, i was watching an episode of Blake's 7 when i made it.
