Agreed. Cash as expected, enough for year ahead unless they start work on Wressle and we haven’t achieved one of the farmins. Bo sounds upbeat on EG as well, Ireland could be moving in the right direction and seems other companies starting to take an interest.

Hi Copper- thanks for sharing confirmation from WH of Cloughton funding and timetable. Was the comment about giving up some of the 30% of Wressle to fund next stages of drilling from his response or your own thoughts?

BBs are for all sorts of things - a place to share info and opinions, vent frustrations, share excitement (anyone remember what that feels like here!), try to ramp up or down sentiment if you a trading, try to rubbish the SP/company (for whatever personal agenda), etc. Few here are completely naive and know we have our share of the above - and a simple check of posting history usually tells you who is/isn’t really invested - not everyone who posts here always wants the SP to rise. Fair enough that’s Aim. But if you have something you want management to know, why not tell them rather than “hoping” they read this BB?

Agree 99% with what you say - but surely licence expiry is a major risk for Vermillion too - as they would lose the option of farmin? Once expired then a new licence would have to be issued, which would require overturning current legislation - and unless there is a new major security threat, can’t see a Gov wanting to do that, when it could be avoided.

The SP has now basically halved under WH - not because of bad luck but because of lack of news on any significant progress on anything. If they want to keep any shareholders in the face of Polus selling they need to communicate more about plans, timelines, progress points - and bust a gut delivering against them - not just give the routine presentation on geophys. ATM they give the impression of lingering over dessert in the first class lounge of the Titanic.

Hi Gerry - maybe because all the political focus at present is on US LNG with Martin in Washington pretending to be mates with Trump over St Patrick’s day? I’m sure it will start to get talked about - or perhaps the Minister will just signal to Vermillion that he won’t obstruct permits, as they don’t need to say anything legally because it’s just complying with current legislation and not overturning official gov policy. Crazy if they don’t - but who’s to know what they will do for sure. 🤞

If that’s the current debate then it makes me much more hopeful for Inishkea as a solution to concerns on both sides. It’s not weather dependent, it’s not fracked, it doesn’t involve gov expenditure, it uses existing infrastruc5ure, it’s quicker to bring on line, it has a lower carbon footprint than imports and it will raise money for Gov.

@Copper - they are not planning to drill Cloughton this year - I think it 2026 for appraisal well if they get approval idc. I took their statement to mean they could afford the additional seismic they want to shoot this summer. Presume in any case only having to pay 40%. If partners are willing to pony up their 60% it gives me some confidence that others think this is worth pursuing and not just a Europa employment scheme.

Well if our chairman has lost another £60k today maybe he will put a halt to high pay for no results. If they do actually have something on-going it’s probably about time they indicated progress/live interest and that they hadn’t totally surrendered in the face of polus selling. Seem to remember that when his brother in law WA was on the Board he stepped in and helped out when a previous large seller was disposing.

Cloughton doesn’t excite me, but can’t see what’s wrong with having eggs in more than one basket - could have said “what’s the point” with Wressle over many years. What more do eog need to spend on EG or Ireland - isnt it just about persuading others to commit at this stage?

Makes you wonder if even Cloughton might end up a good idea if things carry on in current way!

Agreed it should make it easier for us, especially as they need to do nothing except comply with their current laws for us to progress. Will be interesting to see how Trump reacts - is he really going to make an exception for Ireland because of this - part of the hated EU that was created just to screw the USA? Does tying your energy supply to the USA at the moment look like a really smart move to ensure energy security if tension in Europe rises with Russia??

I expect all the publicity will be about importing US LNG - it’s just part of the suck up to Donald movement that every European country is trying to do to avoid tariffs wars. Hopeful they will get on to actually discuss energy security as well - if only after 17 March.

Itsawrap - we’ve already discussed that - the video from early Dec clearly refers to Nov figures and must have been a “misspeak” by AS as the subsequent figures showed. Last year we also saw a similar pattern with Dec figures some 25% lower than Jan - and finally with have a clear statement from EOG rns of 31 Jan of net production of 124 which only works if Wressle is still producing 300+ when not shutdown.

See monthly Wressle figures are in for December - 240 - which is bang in line for the 300+ we have been seeing recently, allowing for the usual Xmas shutdown impact.

Looks to me like the Irish Gov want to go to their meeting with Trump on St Patrick’s Day with a promise on importing US LNG to distract him from the Irish trade imbalance and subsequent sanctions. Less to do with their developing a policy towards addressing energy security issues.

And because it contains identified easily accessible prospects - and not just on eog say so. Eog work has just upped the prospective resources.

Think it’s been along time coming, prob signalled when he gave up all his share options last year. Let’s hope he stays a positive connection for Europa with Nephin. I guess it will be welcomed by those here who wanted him gone - and that a significant shareholder is now chairman.

There could be some vacancies in Nov if you want to put yourself up for election?

Help deliver Ireland -then go. I’d rather have a non-exec at Nephin on our side than against us. It’s the one thing he could do to compensate shareholders for the SO shambles.
