"(Page 7, in Q2 3D seismic starts in April, Heron 1&2 start in May, Gobi is after that so June)." - I'm not sure the diagram is meant to be viewed sequentially like that, but open to that interpretation also. From my reading of the diagram, GOBI start is positioned dead centre of the Q2 block, hence MAY. However, my interpretation for the discrepancy between the 'APR' start reference & 'MAY' diagramatic reference, comes down to when the Weather shift affords operational start - usually between APR-MAY, hence consistency within the 2 stated timelines from that perspective. How long the Well Testing & post test evaluation extends, is an answer Abzzba may want to answer from experience.

Maybe splitting hairs on the timeline - thanks for your input & perspective - main thing is that we're entering a very exciting development phase for the company & shareholders.

I'm looking at page 7 'Gobi Bear-1 Flow Test/Completion (2026) - starts Mid Q2 ie May

Page 6 has the 2025 Work Program 'Completion Production Well' - starts end of Q3 (deferred) - Not sure if that's causing a confusion.

The Oct 2025 RNS states plans being made to conduct the Well Test in April 2026. I expect the April-May timeframe is based on the weather, as discussed in the 11:52 post.

So, to the best of our estimates, we have the Farm Out closing out imminently & the GOBI Well test starting in Mid Q2 (Apr-May), with Mid Q2 indicated in the graphic & April explicitly stated in the earlier (Oct) RNS.

"Mobilization Window: As of today, the region is exiting the extreme winter lows. Historical and company specific data (RNS Feb 18, 2026) suggest that mobilization typically begins mid-April once daytime highs consistently stay above freezing.

Gobi Bear-1 Status: With the March 5th MRPAM approval secured, the service rig is expected to mobilize to the Gobi site within the next 10–14 days to begin the flow test on the hydrocarbons already laboratory-proven in the October 2024 analysis."

Better Porosity: Gobi is 16m shallower than Heron-1, typically correlating to higher permeability and flow rates in the Tamsag Basin.

Caveat: Wigster helpfully posted an alternative timeframe to April, based on the graphic in the following link, which indicates a May start.

I think the discrepancy pretty much hinges on when the actual new drilling season starts & drill rig availability, APR-MAY beingnthe usual timeframe for the former, with the latter conforming with that.

It may be helpful to consider actual wether conditions in Dornod Aimag, which may guide our assessment on the new season timing.

Forward Looking (April 2026)

The biggest issue was the Covid delay, followed by a Local Governor imposing delays / uncertainties due to land access issues. Nothing much more complicated than that!

Against a current $28M Mkt Cap - and excluding any Block 7 or Renewable component etc

I'll put the metrics up again, for people to make their own minds up.

HERON - $150M-$200M (according to Buck on a very conservative basis) 'in ground value and using the lower end figures of resource size & 'in ground valuation' per barrel

GOBI - $225M - $300M (looking at 150% larger than Heron)

HERON + GOBI - $375M - $500M.

Note: In ground asset values use a $3-$8bbl figure. Resources actually producing, give Petro Matad a c. $40 bbl Net Payback at $70bbl oil price & likely much higher for an extended period yet.

People may note the constant reference to MATD's ZERO DEBT / 100% owned asset, along with the Asset values referred to. That helps to establish a tangable Risk v Reward profile, thereby hopefully avoiding the disasters referered to in my previous post, by certain Trolls that are proflific on this BB

Doc - "everyone remembers you buying and punting heavily here at 6p!" Is that so, because 'heavily' is a relative term. I've certainly taken adavantage of the extreme current disconnect in the current SP v Asset value, which should be reconciled in due course.

Doc, I do however recall you also trading out of MATD to buy into a Debt ridden junk stock called COPL, and being wiped out, also after taunting MATD holders. That with your largest holding SND dropping from over 10p to sub 1p and being delisted thereafter. Also, after taunting MATD holders about the SP drops here, due to Licensing / Land Access delays - all fully resolved now. Trying to claim you've made shed loads elsewhere, is the usual unsubstantiated nonsense a lot of traders try to bluff on these BB's, after actually realizing losses.

Bact to MATD - In the meantime, RNS Operational update RNS expected within the next 5 working days (or so). Good Friday / Easter Monday so back to back 4 day weeks. Really wouldn't be surprised to see the RNS Tuesday even. Fundamentals all there and excellent Risk v Reward with Zero Debt/100% asset ownership & GOBI about kick off in April.

You also said Petro Matad was going to 'go bust' by the end of 2024. They're actually Revenue generating covering overheads, sitting on assets many multiples of the current SP and positioned for a transformational growth off the current Farm Out being 'concluded'.

The GOBI well test, scheduled for April, will likely be the next RNS with the Operational Update

Next time try assessing the RISK v REWARD based on Debt, Ownership, Asset Values etc - same stuff we're emphasising here that certain people have a problem with, but which obviously need repeating for people like yourself;)

I think MATD mate. Company making Farm Out RNS, Zero Debt Asset, 100% owned & already in the production/revenue generating stage, with a base asset worth x 10 its current mkt cap at an 'in ground' valuation -$5bbl compared to its production $40 Net payback per barrel.

Set to completely re-rate mate & based on SOLID fundamentals.
