Out of interest though, if a "competent chartist" can gain "a few percent every day" or perhaps 600% a year, why don't they simply have all the world's wealth by now? Where are these 600% per year, every year, fellows? Because remember, 10 grand after a decade of 3% every working day is 2.8 trillion.

They don't if it won't leak and it will hurt company performance. And everyone understands that - every company has industrial secrets for example and it's perfectly legal to do so. You can't break an NDA because you feel like disclosing something to the market when that disclosure is unnecessary at the time under article 14 of MAR (MAR is what governs market disclosures)

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Genuine NDAs mean the company does not have to disclose material events to the market. Companies generally don't have to disclose material events anyway (when they occur - they'd have to disclose them eventually, or at least they'd want to), the MAR stuff esp article 14 is about disclosing things properly to prevent asymmetric benefits etc.
