I've not had a chance to look through the RNS yet but the one big thing I was interested in was the increase in chrome margin after Thutse started to come through in the numbers. It looks quite impressive comparing H123 with H122 but what is slightly hidden is the change from Q1 to Q2... our earnings increased almost 3 times. Projecting those numbers forward into the second half of the year means chrome earnings for the year of ~US$30 million. Fantastic news I'd say, with more chrome expansion to come... as long as prices remain solid this is going to be the massive earner that Leon claimed it would be.

I take a look at the latest satellite images every once in a while and cloud cover has certainly reduced a lot in the last month or so. Actually further South, droughts are affecting crops so rain’s definitely not as heavy this year.

Jubilee gets a mention on national TV as the party negotiating with ERG to buy and re-open Chambishi Metals. Minister hopes to get an update this week on the status of that. So it looks like that is still active. The minister said they are very interested in that as a cobalt refinery.

Good to see BT is now restricted to trolling at the weekends because his lies will get deleted during the week! Honestly I think he should join one of those senior dating sites, I’m sure there must be someone out there even for him! Who knows it might even improve his poisonous disposition! 😂

Mikie, I noticed that Leon is now also referring to the Waste Rock Project as OB1 (ie, Overburden Dump 1) in the recent interviews. Could there be an OB2 in the future?

The IRH deal was put to the vote by shareholders on Friday and unsurprisingly was agreed. So IRH will put a total of US$1.1 billion into Mopani with the aim of reaching its target of 200,000 tonnes / year of copper within 3 years. Current production is in the region of one quarter of that, so thats quite a large increase in three years.

If the waste rock concentrators perform as expected then I wouldn’t be surprised to see IRH look to fund more of them in order to rapidly bring online more copper cathode at Mopani, it’s in their interest to maximise the production as soon as possible because Mopani is currently loss making.

Once the deal is officially signed for Mopani we might also get some more detail on the Mufulira project.

Takenorisk, Travelcard and numerous others have been swamping the board with their rubbish for months, in fact they are so convinced the company is worthless that they monitor this board 12-18 hours every day 7 days a week and are always ready to counter any positivity…. Such generous spirited souls to sacrifice their lives to try and prevent people from making the ‘mistake’ of investing here!

The share price has been under pressure recently because a long time investor, a Swedish teachers pension fund, has been forced to sell its holding (~60 million shares) after the union intervened. Estimates suggest that should be done within a week or two, if not sooner. Once those shares are rinsed through then I think we will see a steady rise again but who knows in this crazy market. Anyway we know that SP is based on sentiment and one good drilling result will rapidly change sentiment. I stopped worrying about the short term SP a long time ago… it’s not good for the health!

In the short term they have just completed a geophysical survey in Botswana in preparation for more drilling. Once they have identified targets that could kick off shortly.

We haven’t yet heard anything about the drilling Anglo completed in Zambia before the rains called a halt. They were drilling deep to investigate some anomalous structures at depth. I don’t know if they will release any assays for that but they may.

All of the Zambian assets are part of the JV, plus any additional licenses which either party pick up which are within 5 miles of the current licenses.

If you are interested in junior exploration companies then I doubt you will find one with better potential upside than Arc at the moment. I suggest you read up on the history of those licenses and their geology and you might understand why Anglo were prepared to agree to such an outstanding jv to secure them for the second time!

Only 5? I've just checked my filter and there are 72 in there! I would say at least half of those have been from the Arc message board but most probably originating from the same few individuals. I don't think it's the regulars they are going after, they want to try and dissuade new investors from coming onboard and thus keep the price low. I do think there may be one or two who are a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic but you find those all over social media.

I might try Telegram again, I did sign up once before but didn't particularly like the format there. Obviously it's a big plus being able to kick out the troublemakers, although I'm sure the likes of takenorisk, travelcard and the rest are in there lurking silently!

Speaking of chrome, the price per tonne has ticked up again in China this week, now at US$285-290 with seemingly strong demand post the New Year holidays. In fact all metals we have an interest in have recovered again post the holidays after a bit of a slump.

Half of the placing is still unaccounted for, about 4% of the shares in issue I think. It’s possible IRH has already invested but there would have been a TR1 if they had bought all of them. I guess they would wait until the SPV agreement is signed first before any investment. Anyway they have bigger fish to fry, today is the ZCCM shareholder vote to agree the US$1.1 billion investment by IRH in Mopani. I’m sure after that they might have a few million to throw in our direction!

Unfortunately these boards have become so infested with people trying to affect the share price one way or another, either for personal gain, or for someone else, that they have largely become redundant. Have I gained much by having an account here? Not really. I would have made the same investment decisions anyway. I’d already seen the potential in Arc’s licenses before I started posting here and long before the Anglo JV was even mentioned. We have had to endure a lot of twists and turns in the last few years but always at the front of my mind was the licenses…. We are now on the verge of a multi year drilling campaign to see what is really down there and I for one can’t wait to see it get started.

There has been steady selling and steady buying going on for days, long before that report came out. it looks more like institutions to me but what do I know? We shall see when the significant shareholdings next get updated.

So you think anyone with an average over 10p is going to sell at 5p because WH Ireland see current fair value at 10p with plenty of upside? Seems unlikely unless you’re a very impatient investor who likes to give away their money!
