Wyndrum I totally understand how it works, which is exactly why I believe it's almost pointless on non commodity traded investments. I've seen it be of very little use at all on stocks such as AVCT, quite the opposite on commodities and extremely highly fluid stocks.

There simply isn't enough volume here to use charting effectively, it's fun for some and sometimes it's correct, but even a broken clock is right twice a day!

JDT - Sometimes I use exactly that, I did so with RMS and BRH :-)

Personally I think that outside of commodity, forex and stocks like Rolls-Royce, BP, Apple etc charts me sod all. Stocks like this are driven almost purely on sentiment, I can just imagine the NCYT chartists sat there on Friday saying....no...we're in an iron chicken wedge head and shoulders shampoo formation, the price will remain about 1000p and move to 1222p to meet the squiggle shape win all pretty pattern etch-a-sketch line

Sorry I didn't explain why this is different from other stocks. Many stocks are made liquid only by the market makers....there are virtually no other organisations using their direct market access to provide liquidity. NCYT is so liquid there are many. Check out the order book.

Guys, you do realise that the Market Makers...so often blamed for everything are not setting the price you see here on LSE? The spread currently created by the market makers right now is WINS 430 - 450 MREX. The spread you see listed and the mid market price that you are basing your red/blue comment on is created by institutions and others with direct market access....not market makers.

Entirely my point Atisha. This share price is driven almost 100% on sentiment, hence the currently ridiculously low valuation when compared to the balance sheet.
Charts are great for commodities, currencies etc but they are seldom effective in sentiment driven stocks.
