Seeing2020, yes guess helps hearing first hand from management and ideally a customer too. And just don’t want to lose money here so prefer to focus on the risks, and making a 4,10 or 50x return is less in my control and in reality all great
Agree it’s great for us but let’s take example of customer with 10,000 trucks and a 50 monthly fee that is 6m a year. In my view it’s high and if competitors offer products without monthly fees am not sure how to compete. Margins are slim in this industry and all though safety is key a products that is 80% of SEE quality but significantly cheaper must be a tough choice Key value add is signalling the driver and after that value of calling the driver etc is significantly less in my opinion. Key mitigant to all of this is that market is huge with very limited competition (2 only today) so am sure we go a long way before we ever feel the pressure to change this and we all have made our money. That said there are a few very large customers like Fedex etc which you don’t want to lose. But keen to hear other people their views on this
Would be interesting to know if these are also monthly recurring contracts or not. Still believe business model will be under pressure one day with these contracts, hope management can elaborate on that during the next investor meeting

100m vehicles are produced globally per year, so when in 5-10 years in California level 5 cars are introduced probably level 2/3/4 are in Brazil and India so DMS will continue to be relevant for a long time. Even when 50% of the vehicles sold don’t have a steering wheel our market is still 50m vehicles assuming we play no role in level 5. So us being part of SuperCruise and Softbank pumping loads of money into it is a positive, fleet however is what is starting to worry me a bit
