Am aware of that, but looks like they were able to test for the South African strain (unlike AVCT) which we know is key to the Government tender on LFTs. In addition, we know they were in phase 3 at Porton Down and seem to be speaking to global manufacturers for many millions per month. So they can't be that bad...
So just trying to understand it better
Thanks Jvetch, think your point probably answers it given also this line " as they become available to us." And regarding D614G - it is one specific mutation shared by the South African variant, but as it has many mutations am afraid that argument doesn't hold.
Am a big holder but today's RNS did raise a question for me which hopefully someone can help me with. The DSHC tender document this weekend makes it very clear to be considered you need to be able to detect the Kent and South African variant (Under Phase VOC Validation). We know the South African variant mutates significantly in the Spike protein, especially around the receptor-binding domain ("RBD") and therefore has reduced efficacy with vaccines for example.
Todays RNS unfortunately is very carefully worded around "dominant" and clearly also makes no reference to the South African variant (which we know is the real challenge if targetting the S-Spike protein). Of course, Avacta has been very clear about developing new affirmers where needed in relation to new variants. But 97% specificity (on the original strain) is great but not if you miss certain variants today. Earlier discussions on this board around N and S spike protein have been very helpful, but don't recall any discussions on the South African variant which now seems to be critical in getting government orders. Given Avacta must be very aware of the government requirements in the recent tender, surely this must have been a focus in their recent work with the NHS published today and so why not mention it at all. So be great to see if anyone if with more relevant background could help me with this and get their view. Happy to be corrected if missed something
Not a de-ramper, been following this chat closely for months and have a highly levered stake in Avacta so just want to make sure I got all my diligence questions covered.

"That said, production of the latest 2021 F-150 kicks off at Ford's Rouge truck plant today, with PowerBoost hybrid, Raptor, and diesel versions of the F-150 expected to follow shortly thereafter."
Lets hope an RNS soon. Also still waiting for the Merc S-Class, it hasn't been announced yet even though production has started already
Yes, but what is stopping Paul in saying multiple vehicles or six this year? Surely no NDA prevents him from doing that
Is this still Nick telling Paul, don't attract attention as we don't want to be seen as Mobileeye? Let's hope so
Management seems to suggest there are only two launches this year, although to be fair this RNS suggested "coming months". The consensus here seems to be Mach-E, F-150 and Mercedes S-Class. Their start of production seems to be September and October for those so what am I missing? Also the original RNS seemed to indicate FCA and GM would launch our tech this year too, which seems to be delayed then
None of this is surprising given Covid, and not too bothered just wanted to check if anyone here disagrees and has better info?

With Australia, NZ less impacted by the virus and this NTI & Government support the year might not end up that bad in fleet
Last step is voting in plenary which is scheduled for March 11-14. IMCO was the responsible committee for this so this vote means a lot, this versus when Transport voted in January who were only asked for an opinion

This what I understand they approved
5) driver drowsiness and attention warning means a system assessing the driver's alertness through vehicle systems analysis and warning the driver if needed;
(6) advanced driver distraction warning means warning the driver when the driver is distracted or prompting to avoid distraction;
Think they accepted compromise amendment 6 here
