Interesting that we are in the current generation of Mercedes’ with Nvidia and now Mercedes’ has moved to Qualcomm , nvidia are including smarteye in their next generation. As far as I can see we won’t be in any other vehicles which use Nvidia, like volvo for example. We can obviously be there if the oem wants us I suppose but given the $30bn pipeline of Qualcomm there can’t be that many that won’t be using snapdragon and the most advanced, cost effective and recommended DMS provider out there.

Hopefully only another year to go.

We’ve felt we were on the cusp of greatness for years, we have released contracts with most of the global major OEM in all forms of vehicles, the latest and greatest VW and we all thought that would be it, nah, the share price drops, the market isn’t impressed.

Why are geely using smarteye and not volvo? I know we have a much better offering, but isn’t geely the luxury brand and you would assume that would get the best. Just a thought.

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has said the chipmaker plans to use at least some of the proceeds from the Mobileye IPO to fund its costly manufacturing expansion.

The buildout, which includes new plants in the United States and Europe, is part of Gelsinger's ambitious comeback plan for Intel to rebound from past missteps and surpass Asian foundry giants TSMC and Samsung with cutting-edge manufacturing technology by 2025.

The issue is, Intel's investors have not been happy with how the high costs of the comeback plan will bring the company to a negative cash flow this year in the order of $1 billion to $2 billion in addition to causing gross margins to dip over the next few years.

The company's financials are set to take a hit because Intel plans to use roughly 35 percent of its 2022 revenue for capital expenditure, which will then go down to 25 percent for 2023 and 2024, when the company expects its cash flow to become neutral.

Intel is hoping these few years of big spending will allow it to come out on top in the industry with higher gross margins, double-digit sales growth, and significant free cash flow by 2025-2026.

But depending on how long the Mobileye IPO is delayed, Intel could face additional financial pressure in the near term if the company can't tap into the proceeds from the IPO when it had originally planned.

Well, let’s compare.
Seye say if all 94 design wins in production at the same time its 5m cars a year.
Paul and Nick say we’re looking at 50% of the market up from 25-30% which is around 50m cars.
I was being sarcastic about the osram proof of concept, its only a concept and like their fleet offering I doubt it’s much competition for our proven offerings and much slicker operation.
Qualcomm choose us for a reason.
