I am only invested here but every now and again I look in at other bulletin boards and we are so lucky this is generally a decent board with people trying to share research.

I am long on SM, very transparent, I want the SP to increase, but I also only post what I believe to be true based on my research, I don't make it up to help my position. I have a lot of confidence in the tech and the leadership, so all good for me and I just wait. As for changing my name, nah thats not a game for me, I like penance so I will keep my name to remind myself.

We are lucky to have the likes of JC, TLS, Lewbo, Terry, Red, etc who not only research a lot but are super intelligent.

So if the super intelligent people who research a lot are long, then maybe I am not crazy, however until I am not crazy I am crazy.

Positive language in the semiconductor RNS also, no "maybe" or "possibly" and the use of plural. So its just a matter of when not it.

Schnorrer, for years I have expected 2 things

1) license Guardian to a large telematics company
2) contract with a large logistics company, Fedex or UPS

Neither have happened to date, but as you point out getting to the stage when it's on a chip might make all the difference

Soul, I agree auto should be much higher than fleet, with F150 etc, which I for one never thought we would win. Global car production is 100m units and the company tell us 30%, so 30m at say A$8-10 per unit, something like A$250-300M per annum revenue when its at full speed.

Aviation takes longer to get going, its a 5 year old start up now with no revenue worth talking about. However planes move very quickly when at full speed.

So I am going for the division with multiple revenue flows and no apparent competition.

Euro-NCAP will require driver monitoring as standard equipment on all new vehicles beginning with model year 2022. All indications are that this requirement – already evolving – will eventually integrate eye tracking solutions. 

As noted by Strategy Analytics in a recent report on the subject: “However, members of the UNECE safety committee believe that, by 2022, the test protocols from Euro-NCAP will be tightened to include direct monitoring of the driver’s eyes and face movements – and thus could be beneficial for interior camera-based driver monitoring systems.”

Current forecast from Cenkos only goes out to 2023, it has Fleet and Auto at similar revenue around A$50m (ballpark) and it has the other leg of the stool at 1% of that level A$0.5m.

So my question is which division
will be the biggest in terms of revenue in 2025?

My answer to that question 3 years ago would have been Fleet, today I am not so sure

As we enter the last knocking of 2020 my view on the biggest achievement by any DMS supplier in 2020 is about delivery not expectations about the future.

Its about wining a Design Win and executing on the promises, working hard with the Tier One partner to out perform the OEM expectations and get to the nirvana of a Sop. Thats the goal for all getting into production.

So hands down the winner is a little company from Canberra who are in production for the 2nd best selling vehicle in the world, unless someone else enters production for the Toyota Corolla in the next 29 days of course.

No comms issue in this instance, actually comms has improved and they told us about the presentation via an RNS

Also alongside connected units they informed us that the YTD hardware sales was 3,500 in 4 months, we know under new terms (previously announced via RNS) that hardware costs are paid upfront so all good.

Normally we would get an update after 6 months, so they have listened and are providing more regular updates.

Seeing Machines appoints new Non-Executive Director

 

Seeing Machines Limited (AIM: SEE, "Seeing Machines" or the "Company"), the advanced computer vision technology company that designs AI-powered operator monitoring systems to improve transport safety, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Michael Brown as a non-executive director and to the Seeing Machines board, effective immediately.

 

Michael Brown is a highly experienced financial markets professional based in London and comes to the Seeing Machines board with a deep knowledge of the AIM market and small to mid-cap technology companies, as well as previous plc non-executive and observer board roles. He is currently a portfolio manager within the Volantis team at Lombard Odier Investment Managers.

 

Michael will be appointed to the People, Culture & Remuneration Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics/Politics from Durham University (2002).

The makeup of the board is much better now, under the leadership of Kate they have professionalised the board and I applaud these recent changes.

The ACE Training Centre and Seeing Machines to launch unique eye tracking technology trial

Toll Helicopters and Seeing Machines (AIM: SEE, "Seeing Machines") have joined forces to launch a unique eye tracking technology trial this month as part of the Toll AW-139 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at the ACE Training Centre in Sydney.

The trial is based on Seeing Machines' Crew Training System prototype which incorporates modern eye tracking technology. The system supports aviation training instructors, pilots and crewmen with intelligent, evidence based data to provide detailed insights into pilot scanning techniques and situational awareness.

The 2019 trial will build on insights gathered from smaller trials conducted by Toll and Seeing Machines over the past 24 months, which have produced tangible benefits for pilots, aircrewmen and instructors:
