I am looking forward to listening to Michael Rowan on Tuesday . Comments on construction going according to plan will be comforting but the RNS about the actual order being completed and pellets going to the Power Station will be a game changer . Re the future in my opinion the real share price mover will be the selling of licenses . If you take another company I invested in 8 years ago âGaming Realmsâ when they changed strategy ( like AEG ) their share price went from 40p to 4p . They then started selling licenses for their product , immediately became profitable and over the last 3 years the price is back to 41p . What we want is for power stations across the US to do deals with AEG .
Happy Easter everybody .
I like the longevity of this company . With so many U.K. persons having been vaccinated and infections and deaths going down accordingly I think Borisâs dates re opening up will be confirmed .At the first stage of pub patios and gardens opening up I will be there for the company even if it is raining ! I will continue buying when I receive dividends from other companies .
I did expect the share price to fall back from the high on day one . However without further news it continues to drift .. Anybody want to guess the bottom is ? As others have said having sold half if it does go down to 5p I will buy back.
Thanks for the compliment of reading my posts over the years .Unlike you I do post on other companies . I am not sure what the relevance of quoting Sir John Betjeman , but I do have a copy of Continual Dew in my library. It was published by John Murray and their previous Poet Laureate was Lord Byron. Interesting as you call yourself Royal Banker that Byron,Betjeman and John Murray all banked with Coutts .
Regarding your other comments they are all nonsense .
I look forward to tomorrowâs trading.
Dear Aladdinsane, thank you for your supportive post. It is disappointing that ChipMan is so discombobulated by rudimentary Stock Exchange terminology . The recent AEG RNS concerning the Convertibles must have been a complete mystery to him. However his name maybe very apt as he appears to be level headed by having a âchipâ on both shoulders . The traditional rationale for a convertible investor is to hold them, keep cutting the coupon ( in AEGâs case 8% pa ) until such time as the dividend on the ordinary shares exceeds the coupon and then convert into ordinary shares . However in AEGâs case the large CUL holders were also holders of the equity . Hence being both a CUL holder and equity holder myself I decided along with the other larger holders that it was in the best interest of AEGâs future for them all to be converted in one go. Credit to the BOD for executing this .
I was wrong yesterday about the 1p being broken but it took a 30m sale to do it . I am aware that one or two of the CULS holders were income funds . Therefore to stay within their remit they needed to sell to reinvest into another CUL etc. It would have been better to place this 1% stake with another institution but it easier to dump in the market . In the long run it is history and we move on to the next announcement . Have a good weekend everybody .
I think 10p is a base , only my opinion . If it really breaks that I fear the weak shareholders will throw in the towel. I did sell enough a few days ago just to cover my 5p in price. The rest is now a long term hold.
Wise words Galactio . If you read the latest shareholder letter from the daddy of investment gurus Warren Buffett ( available Google etc ) you will read the same sentiments towards investing . I met him 21 years ago with 400 others at a lunch in London, sadly I only owned one share ( and still do ) Best of luck guys
Another thought the budget in my opinion was the best I have heard in 40 years. The âGoldman Sachsâ idea of how to run an economy shines through , I particularly liked his line â we are going long â a stock exchange expression if I have ever heard one . His thoughts on green investment will help too.
I have taken up my share entitlement . I went in years ago because the Irish guys were there , they donât invest to loose . Best budget I have ever heard in 40 years the Goldman way of running a strong economy shines through . I liked his line âWe are going long â a stock exchange line if ever I have heard one .
Remember Mae West said ( probably ) about both men and money â too much of a good thing Is wonderful â
Prospects are good here , so put the shares in the bottom draw metaphorically and look again in a years time.
Hi , if you look on the ADVFN site the last trade announced at 5.26pm was for no less than 18.6m shares at middle price 1.15p . That is ÂŁ279,000 that has to be an institution buy absorbing the weak shareholder sales during the day .
I will buy a few more on Monday . I read yesterday that the management have told their pilots not to take leave from June onwards because they think they will be flying again soon afterwards . My guess is Boris will announce tomorrow that schools and tennis/golf will open in March , shops the following month and then restaurants/pubs late May
