Just checked Buffett owns 100% of 11 coal power stations and 13 with partial ownership .
When the US orders really start with CS as substitute for coal we really are in the driving seat . Also as utilities can’t take the chance of ever running out of fuel ( for obvious reasons ) expect the orders to be in the region for supplies of 5-10 years . I’m now off to see if Stradivarius can win at Royal Ascot .

Well presumably PacifiCorp hasn’t gone through this testing of CS for fun
Therefore as power stations are under pressure from Biden to reduce their dependency on coal , it should be off we go time . I haven’t checked but isn’t PacifiCorp just one of 5 power stations that Buffett owns . Personally I am looking forward to the US quote .

Sorry BioEnery , which company did they buy 717m shares . If they had bought into AEG they would have to declare a 3%+ holding if over 117m shares .

Selling - it looks as if somebody or an institution is in distress selling blocks every few hours , ie 9m yesterday and 4 sales totalling 15m today .A pro would place in one go . In time we will know.
See if they continue selling tomorrow .

I don’t know but now the AEG figures are published presumably AEG can get on with their US quote .If GameStop Inc can be worth $16bn with no business and little old AEG has a unique product with the Buffett connection and Biden pressing the coal power stations change there is hope.

Presumably the trucks would have been going back and forth for 7 to 10 days to complete the order today . I am guessing but at 20 ton a truck that would be 45 trips .

Potentforce , excellent , so with all that evidence you must think this share is a great short .However I bet we will be higher in the weeks ahead . It must be a mystery to other posters that you have posting on the AEG site more or less exclusively for a year without having a shareholding ( 20 in the last month) indicating “ we are all doomed” are you related to private Fraser by any chance ,

I agree — Great news this morning out of the blue . No doubt this will annoy the detractors .

All very quiet here , we hope that is not the case in Maine .

Interesting either a market Maker or a big buyer ( not yet shown ) has decided to take £100k+ on their books during the last few days presumably thinking this price is too low compared to the upside ( eg today’s trading 10m sells and only one 70,000 buy yet the bid stays firm at 0.7p )
We await next week with interest.

Thank you “ buyonrumour “ what an interesting point . I looked up the US volume which was 91,000 last night . Like any arbitrage situation it shouldn’t last long .However I will follow the US price going forward .

Good point nLondon1234 but I heard that most of the staff were taken off the lumber side to assist with the construction of the CoalSwitch equipment/ plant., as this t is where the future is .
AEG released a series of photos of the site at each stage .

Changing the subject it will be interesting to hear when AEG gets the OK for being quoted on the OTCQM in the US ( as per the RNS on 6th April ) . US investors will value AEG potential quite differently than here in the U.K. and the Buffet connection will certainly help .

Wow , what a great RNS this morning with Michael Rowan “delivering “ and confirming they will complete the order for Warren Buffett.

Bagga018 - of course not . The major institutional shareholders who backed Rowan ( having met him several times ) own over 50% of the company . They take a longer investing timeline than the average poster and would not sell out at 3p. When CoalSwitch orders start coming through this share could have a ten year bull run.

Results as expected this morning . The exciting bit will be how they do from this week onwards .

Directors are not allowed to buy or sell within 2 months of an announcement ( called a closed period ) so we have the accounts next month and an update on Lumberton due etc.

Disappointing the price was not more positive this morning . I joined the placing last night as a long term hold .
