Bagga018 - of course not . The major institutional shareholders who backed Rowan ( having met him several times ) own over 50% of the company . They take a longer investing timeline than the average poster and would not sell out at 3p. When CoalSwitch orders start coming through this share could have a ten year bull run.
Results as expected this morning . The exciting bit will be how they do from this week onwards .
Dear Bagga018 , I agree the BOD should and will take responsibility , it was ever thus . . However they said in the RNS “we have confidence in completing the order “ What else do you expect them to say . I was building a house and the builders gave me a date 18 months ago then it was weather , then Covid etc and now it is 6 months late at least . Surely you don’t expect the BOD to give percentages / chances of completing the plant on time . Probably , but I am guessing it is currently 50/50, but is it it the end of the World if they have snow , a strike etc etc and completion is a month late . If I was the Board knowing how critical the posters are I would have said end of 2021 from the start . Then if we completed in July the Board would be heroes. In the US quoted companies always low ball earnings expectations so they can beat the estimates every time . When I was watching MicroSoft ten years ago their earnings were always 25% up on estimates and they did this for 26 consecutive quarters . Anyway I bought some more shares today . “Always buy when the majority of investors are fearful.”
Good article probably because she is woman running a large company . To keep investing they have a constant need for funds , tapping shareholders each time only depresses the price .Time will tell but they need to back something really revolutionary that makes a difference . The experience in Texas a month ago proves the point , when it snows solar and wind don’t work .
Great result since placing and I am holding . Just for fun I am doing all of the offers on primary bid , keeping the winners and selling the losers . It is a strategy of sorts ( most people do the reverse ) but at least the portfolio looks great with everything up ! See you in the pub next week !
I am so pleased they are opening again as I was turning into an alcoholic !
Posting to myself here . Reading my last post about the hope of a vaccine well it should be off we go time starting next week .I am so pleased the pubs are opening again as I was turning into an alcoholic !
I think it will be the roaring twenties again at least for the next year . The Brits will be staying in the U.K. this summer as probably not allowed to fly to see all those Europeans who hate us anyway.
Anyway the good news for Europe is Merkel is going and I think Macron will get voted out ( strange guy marrying his Mother )
So back to the U.K. I will be so pleased to get back to the pubs next week ( I was turning into an alcoholic ) I would be happy to sit outside in the rain under an umbrella for the company .
MAB is sure to benefit .
It is looking good . I bought in when the Chairman bought years ago at about 24p. I was worried when it went in a straight line down to 4p . I waited again until it went to 8p before buying in again. I am pretty sure they will get taken out . At 75p that is £200m which is a lot for the U.K. ( multiple wise ) but petty cash for the US. As I said looking good .
I agree AEG should develop CoalSwitch as much as possible themselves . However they will run into financial constraints as this equipment is not cheap ( 50t an hour about $25m )
The good news is they could make that back in a year .
They would also have to secure other sites and staff
C/S should be all over the World and the only way to do this quickly is via licensing .
