The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
If you add the special to current sp we're almost at £2.50!! Looking to cash in a third of my holding prior to special and that is my minimum, I think upto £3 is possible circumstances permitting.
That 12p buy in i made back in 2009 has proven up, current special alone pretty much repays my investment year on year.
Great to see 3p finally hit, agree that some stop losses will be kicking in, check those guys!!
Call me greedy or whatever but if all goes to plan we can be sitting at 10x current SP in the next 12/18 months. How will the 3p warrants work, SP has to be over 3p for 5 days in a row is that correct?? Or have I made that up/mis-remembered??
A little perspective.....
Currently at our highest share price in over a decade, and in all honesty I only see an upside. If the US get trade deals tied up, there shouldn't be any really threat to our sp now brexit appears to be done.
We live in an age with an unprecedented demand for housing, high population growth and interest rates at nearly zero! If outside factors can be removed i see £3 by the summers special divi.
I'm optimistic we see £2.50 prior to special divi. Bought in at 11/12p after the 2000s crash and have held a significant number ever since.
If this transpires I sell half my holding and plow the money into SOS, who will probably run out of cash and issue more shares and i anticipate a drop circa 20p.
Oh what could have been without brexit, genuinely think the 2 would have been a 3 now!!!
Happy for all who are in profit today
I have reservations on this is one. Once CAI share are in issue we will be diluting their value by a third. Factor in that over night krs could lose 50% of its value then overall the gain is not that substantial, depending on your average it may even be a loss. Of course prices could vary but if prior to distribution we can attain say double our current SP I'm going to be inclined to sell. There is also the potential issue/cost of selling CAI depending which broker you use.
Not trying to be overly negative, just run the numbers on your own holding and see what's makes sense. If you want to hold CAI long term then of course its a no brainer.
Read an interesting article about sirius, and how people 'were duped out of hit life saving by following advice posted on forums such as LSE'
FOMO and greed all too often trumps logic. I'm happy to hold here for some time, atm I'm circa 300% up so happy days
Trying to keep upto date here, any idea when an announcement is due regarding allocation of CAI shares, I'd imagine we get an announcement of an ex date followed by the issue date. Also does anyone hold with HL, and have they gave any info on the ease of trading said CAI shares? Looking to dump KRS once thwy arr in play
That Bovis news has for some reason dropped something into my mind, i recall reading not to long ago that Mr Buffett was looking at TW with the view of pumping a pretty large sum into the company, but alas that never panned out, couldn't help but feel a little bit of vindication reading it at the time, anyway another positive start
Wouldn't be shocked to see a dip below £1.60 as there may be a chunk of stop losses at this level, either way I'm not too put off by the news, i feel we may be riding the crest of the special divi wave but we still have atleast 2years to go before any major change, remember all the higher ups in TW who will get shares/divis instead of hefty bonusses
