Sire you also have to factor in the fact that as Brexit was officially coming into force in 2020, the Government went into lockdown madness and the NHS basically downed tools for 2 years.

I think it will be many years before any sort of normal, comparable situation is in effect where we can compare pre-Brexit to post-Brexit factors when it comes to industry or the NHS. We basically hobbled ourselves with lockdowns and restrictions, economically, socially, logistically - Brexit is a drop in the bucket compared to the long term damage we inflicted upon ourselves in the Covid panic.

We can and will throw more and more money at the NHS and they can and will mismanage it. The NHS that most of us grew up with is gone, it disappeared in March 2020 and what we have now is a chaotic lottery and a huge albatross around the nations neck that no longer does what it says on the tin. The NHS under Thatcher in the dark days of 1981/82 (anyone remember "Britannia Hospital"?) was in a better state that the one is today - at least back then they focussed on simply trying to make people well and coping at the A+E frontline. Today it is a mess, driven by agendas, politics, virtue signalling and an ever increasing budget for beaurocracy, consultants, agency staff and perks for management. And its never going to get any better from here.

Quady, alas as with every major astronomical event of recent years, the skies above Glasgow have been cloudy night after night lately. The light pollution is terrible too. I have a pair of 25x100 binoculars for stargazing but sadly they have been useless.

We had a family caravan down in Eyemouth on the east coast growing up, and the night skies there were amazing.

Nowadays we have to go up to Glen Coe and beyond to see truly spectacular dark skies and even then the rain is always a threat but on a good night the meteoroids come thick and fast. Also the Milky Way is discernible, which is quite rare from Britain.

Anyway - these posts about Ecuador needing Cascabel developed are encouraging, because we are not the company to do it, so a sale will be necessary for both Cascabel and the country to move forward with their mining ambitions.

I'd wait till the ink is well and truly dried on the merger, but it's clear that a sale is the only way forward in the interests of everybody.

Those who want to go on the journey as cascabel is developed will be able to do so via the company/companies who take us over - we will no doubt be issued at least in part with shares. It's only the beginning of the Cascabel story, but I won't be on board and neither will SOLG.

Actually, MassiveRay and Quady working together to disrupt this board kind of reminds me of the smell of the toilets in a place I used to work at years ago.

But you're not allowed to be nasty, to disrupt the board, or launch a cyber spam attack.

We have to tolerate you, because you are an expert at pushing people to their absolute limits, then pulling back and playing the victim, but Slug pushes the nuclear button time after time.

I would rather have decent posters I disagree with (like Bozi) than a destructive loose cannon that I agree with. Slug is his own worst enemy and creates his own punishment.

Admin were warned by Quibbles that NitPicker99 was Slug - and they banned Quibbles instead!

I can agree with many of Slugs posts when he behaves himself, but - like Quady and MassiveRay - he simply can't.

I know Slug uses a VPN to hide behind so it may be hard for Admin to ban him permanently, but we could at least alert them to him as soon as we recognise him. Hopefully they will learn from the Quibbles case, where they destroyed an innocent poster who was trying to help.

As I say, I agree with some of his SOLG posts but he 100% needs to be banned from here.

Quady i agree with a lot of his opinions on SOLG but despise his behaviour on here.

I also made a point of identifying him as Slug after he got Quibbles banned.

Your presence on this board is in many ways no less disruptive than Slugs, yet you are allowed on here and we tolerate you, so please think twice before doing the finger wagging act.

MassiveRay, Quibble had the measure of you even though oyutried to suck in with him.

I have been very harsh and impatient with you in the past, but I am not happy with the way Quibbles was forced off this board and the part I played in it. I don't want anyone treated with disrespect, and I'm not here to fight with anyone and certainly not bully anyone.

You and i have diametrically opposite views on the future of SLG, but I think at least 2023 will see the argument settled one way or the other. i can certainly be patient and wait to see how things pan out.

Till then, Im sure you and i can converse like decent people who have different opinions, and i apologise for some of the things I've said to you recently in my more angry moments.

Quady, a fair enough point until the last sentence when you simply can't help trying to belittle who you are speaking to.

Why can't you be more like Quibbles? He believed in exactly what you do for this company but he managed to make his points without attacking people or being rude.

In saying that, maybe he and you are correct - maybe we re just swallowing up CGP in order to neutralise them before pushing on with production. It is a fiendish masterplan I never envisaged, but if Nick really wants to sell 10 years down the line for £5 rather than the 68p I reckon we may get this year, he is certainly the man to go for it, because SOLG is still his baby.

That type of investment would indeed be new to me, but I'd only be in it 2 minutes before I took the last of my money elsewhere.

So, I'm waiting for a bid that may never come. Quady and his lot are wanting to enter a finance death spiral by "advancing" Cascabel. Muppets like MassiveRay come to gawp and laugh at us everytime the share price falls.

There are moments when it's easy to doubt why you are here.

Yet BHP and others have thrown millions at this company. Are they suckers too? Is Warren Irwin a sucker? Is nick Mather a sucker? Are Matsui suckers?

Be nice to have a crystal ball to see how this turns out, rather than suffer death by a thousand cuts every day, with low life laughing on the sidelines. But at this point it's probably a matter of faith.

I just believe we can't have come all this way to not have a happy ending.

He was banned because you went running to Admin Slug. Never had you down as a grass. Not the type of thing we do up here in Glasgow.

Quady I'll tell you this:

1) Quibbles genuinely spoke highly of you.

2) The fight between Quibbles and Slug that resulted in Quibbles being banned and erased started because Quibbles would not allow Slug to hijack his comments and twist them into an attack on you.

Whatever his points and disgreements, he was always respectful of other posters, something I know i have fallen short of in recent weeks.

Addicknt I think I'm feeling guilty for ganging up on him, even though he was ahving digs at me from his very first post.

I'm also aware that many older people are lonely these days and want a place where they can chat and feel valued, maybe unaware at how bigheaded they might come across as,

He did hold the same views as Quady, even though his opinions seemed more logical and grown up than Quadys. I've been wondering about the main ones:

1) The Sp won't go over 20p for years, until production reaches a critical mass.

2) We won't be sold because, unilike Quady's silly diverse book theory, there is a simply "triangulation" between Mather-BHP-Newcrest all pulling in different directions but not wanting to be sold cheap.

3) The merger with CGP was about swallowing them up and neutralising them.

4) We are going into production and that is what he current cash pile is for.

I strongly disagree with all of the above, but at least they sound like salient points when Quady isn't saying them.

I can only be proved right in my beliefs by one event - a bid. Until then Quibbles and Quady and others have every reason to believe what they want.

I can see more and more on this board getting impatient, but what can we do? Wait at least until after the merger is fully signed and delivered, which is when I suspect a bidder might make a move.

We are all stuck - waiting on a bid that may never come, or waiting for production that may never start.

In this ongoing paralysis, what harm were a few anecdotes to pass the time going to do?
