Tesla1, the funny thing about angry little lowlifes like you is - if I say I'm sitting on a loss here, you believe me 100% and proceed to gloat.
If however I give a more complex story of trading for years, sitting on a small loss on a small long term tranche before March but overall on a healthy profit on Solg in the tens of thousands, you ignore the overall profits and gloat about the loss.
I had stopped posting when I went all in here after Warren Irwins interview, but I had already pulled my main rather large investment out of my "safe" long termer Lloyds, and I basically gambled and bet the farm on Solf, buying on the Monday and the Tuesday. Had it gone wrong it would have ruined me, and in many ways was a stupid gamble. But before too long we were at 22p and yes I had topsliced my way up there. I pledged never to buy another share again, but as we've fallen back I've reverted to trading to make cash out of the fluctuations as we fall. For instance yesterday I bought at 15.57 and sold that this morning at a nice profit. I've been doing this for a while now, and I only post my activities on the other board to annoy bitter angry cretins like yourself. I've made a life changing sum of money from Solg this year, I'm not in any hurry for a sale now as long as we can trade like this, and I don't give a shiny shyte whether or not you believe me.
This will almost certainly be the last share I directly invest in or trade, and I will ride it out to the end good or bad, but you need to stop being so irritated and bitter and twisted about a retail investor like me having gradually got the hang of investing successfully at a level that improves my life. You can rest assured that I am in profit - but that isn't a loss to you, I'm not taking any money away from you so you can stop crying - and remember I've made the money that I've made here because I listened to Warren Irwin and I don't listen to the likes of you. And I'll listen to guys like DG1 when i certainly won't listen to guys like needalife.
So please Tesla1 mate, please stop frothing at the gash. I really don't post here any more. i have no axe to grind and nothing to prove. For all my moaning down the years, this share has been very good to me.
Needalife, I don't post here anymore mainly because of creatures like you with nothing better to do with your life than troll the message board of a share you are not invested in. That, and Quady being being allowed to post the same thing over and over again until the place sounds like a lunatic asylum.
But I have to tell you mate - all this effort you've put in here, all these hours, all this negative energy and anger, all this dedication to being a troll and a pest, is now officially wasted. You've bankrupted yourself. You've exposed yourself as a know nothing. You've embarrassed yourself.
Down the years, us genuine investors on here have got to know DG1 on this board. He's as honest as they come, he's a straight shooter, he never lies or tries to manipulate. His views have often chimed almost exactly with mine down the years. If he says he had a Zoom call with "a very busy Scott Caldwell" then I believe him. Every sensible person on here believes him.
You've exposed yourself totally here and shown just how much you are out of your depth: just an annoying child jumping up and down for attention. You really have nothing more to give.
It took us years to get to know and trust someone like DG1 and what he has to say. It took 5 minutes too see what a clown you are.
Do yourself a favour and toddle off and find something better to do with your life, eh?
Yeah needalife, it was quite a long post. And I see it has been deleted.
This board is a joke. Admin are beyond the pale these days. I'm done here.

Well addicknt we can choose to listen to who we want to but the constant negative background noise from Quady - noise which now contradicts EVERYTHING we have heard from the company since the merger - just wears people down whether they accept it or not. I made a decision to stop posting here until major news landed, but reading this board was a depressing experience. After the WI interview (in which I think he was very bold to the point of utter recklessness) I bet the whole farm on SOLG and had a few sleepless nights I can tell you... it's hard enough living with that sort of gamble without reading endless nonsense about strategic reviews, "advancing Cascabel", developing mines and JVs - ALL of which are misinformation points since the merger and are financially disastrous options put forward by only those who want to deramp this share and who seem terrified of the thought of a buyout. Why is that? Talk about suffering fools gladly - so many of you have let this idiot with his constant drip drip drip of nonsense make your lives on here miserable. Every single one of you on here were totally disgusted and finished with SOLG at the start of March, I couldn't find a single positive comment on here - and all partly thanks to Quady who had worn you all down. So 13p looked like the end of the line instead of the start of a golden opportunity. That's how toxic these boards can be thanks to people like Quady. I'm topslicing and getting out bit by bit and hoping for the final big payout, but this will be my last share, I'm done with the stockmarket finally - I've got the big payout I always dreamed about but my one regret is I ever got involved with these boards in the first place.
Yes there are a few on here I feel I could go for a pint with. But a few as well I wish I wasn't on the same planet with. Besides that, there is a real world of real people out there, and concentrating on that rather than social media in 2023 has been a great change for me. I'm just glad that the few I always did care about on here with be sharing in a payout with me soon. The road has been long and exhausting, but the end is near.

I don't see this rise running out of steam until we are back at a decent 25p level, which historically we tended to rest at.
After that, I see a £1.2Billion offer, 33p a share. That might seem a lot lower than many were expecting years ago, but we have 3,000,000,0000 shares in issue now.
Definitely something very good coming down the line now, and it ain't a strategic review, a mine or a JV, that's for sure.
Quady look at it this way -
If I had listened to you - that there was going to be an endless strategic review and the company was then going to bankrupt itself trying to build a mine - I would have given up and sold out at 13p.
Instead I listened to WI and threw everything I had in here the following Monday morning.
It's clear to everyone now that your predictions are never coming true and we are heading towards a sale of some sort.
The rise im price seems to be killing you - perhaps *you* sold out down at 13p hoping that you could get back in at 7p or lower? Anyway I was never convinced you ever held any SOLG shares - you come across as an out and out atettntion seeking troll.
It's just a shame that your constant deramping and doom mongering about building a mine wore so many people down over time - it's clear that some LTHs gave up the ghost, especially when we were suffering the after effects of that 16.4p placing.
By the time you were done on here no one had a good word to say about this company. Shame on you.
Don't tell me you're still waiting for the Strategic Review?
Oh dear.
Time we put you in the Horlicks I think.
Poor old Quady, a lifetimes work proved wrong.
I think you should be switching boards and joining lowtrawler over there. This rise is killing you isn't it?
Great to see this board getting it's mojo back. A few weeks ago every single one of you sounded like you were throwing in the towel. You were even let quady dominate again with his nonsense.
I was always with Mr Micawber on this one, and lo and behold along came that Warren Irwin interview. To think I used to despise the man and now I owe him a small fortune.
Onwards and upwards guys, this feels like whats called in Highlander "the Quickening".
I'm top slicing all the way up now, with one last fat tranche kept back for that takeover morning.
I agree with you there Ray, 100%
Hi guys. Hope all are doing well here.
After Warren Irwin's indiscrete interview a few weeks ago I went all in here in the 13s. Even sold my Lloyds holding to bung it in. Total gamble, utterly unwise and breaking every portfolio rule. But for all my complaining down the years, Solg always was good to me. I'm topslicing my way out from here on in, I'm done with the stockmarket after this, happy to count myself lucky.
Good luck to all the LTHs here, hopefully the endgame is upon us guys.
DG1 investor, we've always been similar in our views on Solg down the years, and I think lately a few of the more tolerant and patient long termers have joined us in our cynical, hopeful dismay.
But I honestly think a bid will come this year. Of course I did last year too. But after the merger is complete we will be in a completely different position from last year. As much as is humanly possible, we have banged our heads together with CGP and trussed ourselves up ready for sale. I fully support this strategy, more than I've supported anything SOLG has done in the last 7 years. No talk of production, no pointless drilling, no box ticking exercises. Go for broke, go for a sale; might seem extreme but it's the only way any of us will get out of here with a profit now (from this point, not overall of course).
But until a bid lands that strategy fails. It fails every day we don't see a red dot for that RNS. It fails until it happens. And we know it may never come. But it's the only way out from here - we've painted ourselves into a corner and every other route now would be a disaster, expecially production which would mean bankrupting ourselves or dilution to infinity. Much as it is a drastic position, I applaud it. I like this risk, like this gamble, even though every day ratchets up the stress and the impatience, and every day we attract the trolls and the derampers, and our resident dafty gets to yabber on about diverse books and production.
It's excruciating, especially with the SP falling and falling on tiny volumes, and no communication from the company. But what can they really say prior to completion of the merger?
One thing I know for certain - the share price of today is not the one I'll be cashing up with at the end of this. It will either be 0.1p if we try to go into production, or it'll be 68p+, hopefully later this year.
We can't force it, we can't speed up time and nor should we want to. Like the WWII pilots who vomited into their masks, we just have to suck it up right now. We have to suck up a dismal share price, a lack of news, and all the atttacks and distractions of the trolls and derampers - and Quady's constant nonsense - because that is where we are right now and the only option is to sit tight or bail out.
I won't be bailing out, but looking at the days, weeks months or years till we are sold, I really don't have anything to add anymore, other than to continue arguing with idiots who just seem to have endless energy and never get exhausted morning noon or night - it's just insane and pointless.
So this will be my last post until a bid does land... or we formally go to the wall a year or two hence.
Good luck everyone, hope you all keep well, and let's hope we have a lovely Spring in every possible way.
And never forget the words of Mr Micawber - "Something is bound to turn up!" I'm sure we haven't come all this way not to get a happy ending.
That's right Dave... 2.5 million shares traded today and that means "those in the know are bailing out".
Goodbye BHP, goodbye Newcrest, goodbye Mitsui... all heading for the exit, probably Mather too.
You absolute plonker.
Are you really sure you wouldn't be happier in Premium Bonds?
Yes we kicked some Sassenach ass into touch at the rugby yesterday. Get used to it old chaps.
Well mate I hope that last sentence is true, because I think we're all at the end of our tether with this one.
It's a small and petty denial of service attack, but it still counts, and by your actions you are deliberately disrupting someone's business platform.
Quibbles seemed very well connected and seemed to know at least one cyber security expert to call on. I wonder if anyone still has their eye on you?
Best to behave on here from now on eh? We can trade insults all day long but I generally do agree with 90% of what you say, not just on SOLG but on the globalist/climate emergency/covid fascism reset going on in the world.
This share is like Schrodinger's cat at the moment - in two existing and non-existing states: being sold off or going into production. Each belief has merits but both are totally wrong until one of the 2 things actually occurs. The difference between me and Quady is I will accept whatever reality transpires, whereas he will not. We could drive ourselves insane arguing about what the outcome will be, but until that outcome arrives we are wasting our time. The cat is both dead and alive until the lid gets opened. I can't hurry a bid along by arguing with people on here, I can only be patient and be ready to be proved wrong once again this year.
Now, give the Tasmanian Devil act a rest and join in properly with all the talking.
Must've been a lonely old night to yourself on here Slug, ranting way at nobody. Even Quady isn't biting this time. And boy does that man bite.
When's your next DoS attack planned?
Do remember it is illegal under the Computer Misuse Act of 1990. Wouldn't want you ending up in jail where the big boys will do to you physically what Quibbles on here did intellectually to you. Wouldn't take much to get past your VPN.
Oooft!
Cheers Ray, away from the frustrations of watching this pot that never boils I've always thought we'd all get on great in the pub.
Quady genuine question - in relation to my point about SOLG , which is an explorer proving up and selling on assets, you wrote "I've been doing this for 40 years".
What exactly have you been doing for 40 years and how does that affect what SOLG has been, is, and will be?
I'm genuinely intrigued.
Sending you positive thoughts RK,.
My mum died of breast cancer when I was 12 and as a kid back then I came across these words from Ernest Hemingway that have stuck with me ever since:
"The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places.
But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle
and the very brave impartially."
In the end none of us are getting out of this alive, but until then we have every day, every passing minute, to look after ourselves, take care of our loved ones, and give some meaning to life. Every now and then - if we are lucky - we are reminded of this and in those rare moments of clarity we get to see again what is really, really important while we still have time. It genuinely is a wonderful life.
Onwards and upwards buddy.
