As much as I would like to I think the sp is to high at the moment so I am looking at Abcam which was also to high but has dropped quite a bit to A more realistic Price. Still holding for sub 1300.
Or if Oxford drop to 790 ish . See which comes first, probably neither . :-)

I wouldn’t worry about the not for profit bit as Oxford biomedica will still be paid for the production side at the oxbox facility.

Yes standard have just over 5% invested in gsk think they bought before April.

Excellent, Just added, sp quite good now. Any good news on the phase two will obviously send the sp back up quite a bit. Cannot see AstraZeneca wanting to buy anyone at the moment unless they are worried that a big pharma might try a takeover of AstraZeneca.

Added at 765. So I’m quite happy think I will sit on these shares now. I’m even thinking of taking a hit on some of my standard chartered shares About minus 500 pounds and adding more even at this sp as I can see Oxford biomedica doing exceptionally well over the next 12 months.

Interesting that no one at AstraZeneca has put out a denial over this rumour. You would of thought that they would of said something.

I’m hoping to be out by 11am with a profit as I think the sp will move north. Having said that the sp could move south. ;-)

Yes I seem to remember it was approximately 60 odd percent ownership to GSK. I think the sp of gsk at the moment is down to them saying the profits will be cut due to R&D which is expected , but I cannot help feeling that they could merge if it’s benifical to both. That’s one reason to be in horizon as well as they are a good company but quite susceptible to a buyout. Vir looks better each time I look at them.

I wonder at some stage in the future if Pfizer would again attempt a takeover of GSK or some other sort of merger between the two now that the healthcare side has been sorted. I know it’s been quite a few years since Pfizer last tried but you never know.

Yes about that I’ve got 1500 now so I check with div max from time to time. Saves me doing the maths.
