Dr you are right some II hold some shares in 88e, it amounts to 0.25% they certainly do not own the company, I strongly suspect that there are PI with larger holdings than this lot altogether.

There are certainty many options available when it comes to selling out. I suspect we will see some element kept under one of the names. Yukon would seem the obvious one to keep and perhaps start production from which would give the company money to do other things. Not sure DW will be bothered those, as if we get sold for a decent amount he is going to be seriously rich, so it’s certainl in his best interest to get a good price.

Rfarta institutional investors don’t touch companies like 88e. Far too much risk and volatility at the moment, once a company has a regular income and is making a good profit then it becomes a different matter. Remember the 45% instant drop when IW2 was shut. Imagine being a fund manager with millions invested, heart attack moment!

Yes I know and with a bit of luck we might be able to suck some oil from it with a long sideways drill, but I would much rather majors were focused on the hrz than heading into anwr. Just my thoughts anyway.

I have no problem with anwr slowing right down, too many people in Alaska finding oil which perhaps lessons interest in the HRZ, which I would like to see FO to a major company with lots of funds and experience.

I must admit I would love to see some fomo action but I suspect after the last two years people will be hesitant to jump in until either oil flows or we get a really good farm out. Shame really but too many people bitten by 45% drops within minutes and little chance to get out. Time for the compan to prove it can get oil out of the ground, so please DW make sure we have all the necessary kit available as the very last thing I want to hear is the iceroads are melting and we are going to have to come back next winter.

Hawk it’s also interesting how RMP reacts positively on almost any news and is obviously keen to keep putting it out. I was annoyed yesterday when LSE utterly failed to put the RNS on the system as lots of people seem to simply follow RNS so we missed out so as to speak. They are also very clever at making out that they are the main players in this I really hope we find flowing oil or they will be in real trouble.

Yep Brom they love the tax revenue, but to do what they did, which was bound to have a much larger affect on the smaller companies was quite disgraceful. Why you would allow somebody 6 months to appeal is mind boggling, a couple of weeks should be enough in this sort of case. Perhaps if he loses again we can send him a bill for the extra interest. That might focus his mind a touch, ha!

Would also be nice if the Govt payed up its legal liabilities to 88e. How much money has it cost us in interest since they refused to cough up on time. They have just about put Great Bear out of business which is quite frankly disgusting when you consider that they rely on oil taxes to live the high life.

ST you are correct after all these years the Company needs to prove it is capable of not just finding oil but also getting it out of the ground. Really could do with the FO news coming soon, followed by large amounts of oil coming out of the ground at Winx. Another well drilled with no oil will be a considerable blow and will just about be it for me with 88e. After 3 years of constant dilution and lots of promises it is time for DW to give some much needed relief to shareholders.

Moneyhawk considering how important they are and the amount of money these CEO get payed, you would think they would take much more care when writing them. What you have picked up with the timings is a classic DW and just allows various ideaots to climb on board and sow confusion. May be worth emailing DW and asking him to clarify what the hell happened and when.

Good post Moneyhawk, although it could just be DW and his poor writing of RNS for which he is well known for, if you have followed this share for a few years. I don’t know who he gets to check through the RNS before he sends them but they need firing!

Sadly it appears that our ceo only knows how to make money for himself. He is full time again now so just what the f..k is he doing with his time. Clearly he does not have a spine. Utterly useless.

Don’t forget they also have to make the ice pad before the rig can deploy. It may well be done but let’s not jump the gun as any supposed delay has bad effects on the SP. After two years of waiting we are nearly there for another drill tiny bit more patience required.

Why if you are going to drill the Schrader Topset would you not also go for the Seabee/Torok formation at the same time? Does not make sense to me.

To true Picardy it’s the summer months when not much can happen that makes operations in Alaska slow and frustrating. Lack of money also means we could not have another crack at IW2 which is located where operations in the summer are possible. Hopefully next summer we will have the money in the bank from a FO to have another go and perhaps a partner working with us.
Am not sure I want them to tap into IW2 again as there is to much uncertainty over what happened, by fracking the hell out of it we ended up with the upper and lower area joined by fracks. May be better to start afresh as far away as possible on the pad.

Agreed hh, some news that they think they have cracked the IW2 conundrum would also be extremely welcome. If we can get that shale oil out then we are talking serious money. Just think where we would be now if that sodding well had flowed last year or even better in 2017.
