Err Hawk I would strongly suggest that flowing oil means a great deal more to everybody than what is currently a dry well. You get scientific detail from both situations but in one you have proved it flows.

Rosso not trying to be pedantic but that quote from an RNS was before they discovered that they could not get the water out, let alone any oil. Howerer, I really hope the company finds out what went wrong and goes back to the unconventional and gets it flowing, there is an enormous amount of money tied up in the large quantities of oil down there and I would quite like some of it in my pocket.

Thomcum we are waiting for the announcement of a Farm Out deal for potentially over 1 Billion barrels of conventional oil in the next month or so. By the end of the summer another Farm Out for over 2 billion barrels of unconventional and we have another oil field Yukon that might also be farmed out. Enough for you!

Brom you are properly right but it always used to be the kicking off point for a rise as something positive was happening and there was a more defined time line. I await with interest what happens this time, I suspect that if FOMO happens it will happen with RMP as they have far less shares and people will take the risk for a short while and then jump out again before results are expected. We will see!

rfarta I have no idea where all the water went, hopefully various experts do. I do remember reading an article on soak in's (frantically sat in my car in a lay-by whilst the SP was plunging after the announced shut in) where it stated that having a soak in for over a certain period could be detrimental to a well and I remember thinking at the time I hope that doesn't happen to us. I can't somehow see some of our nabours pumping oil suddenly finding they were pumping our water, although it would be quite funny.

Rosso revising history does not work, it was fracked but it did not work, so i am not sure you can say it was successful. If it had been oil would have flowed and we might not have needed to FO or if we did we would get a better deal.

Picardy we are unlikely to get FOMO here as IW2 twice let us down and I suspect a lot of people got burnt. 88e needs to prove it can get oil out of the ground which will then regain peoples confidence.

Fool IW2 was supposed to be Flow Test and in that it was a failure. However, hopefully lots of useful data was gathered which will enable us to have another go at it. Not sure I want them using IW2 as we have no idea what's happened down there with the fracking and all the water that disappeared. Maybe better to have a go from another spot on the pad as far away as is possible.

Kat I am not asking the crew to set up a camera I am simply saying it could create some interest and excitement in what we are doing, as at the moment there is zero. Not much effort required to set up a camera in an office window and then download a few photos every couple of days. As it happens I am very chill after 4 years invested in this company thank you very much.

We have not heard any info on if the rig has made it, would be nice to know its arrived safely and is busy getting set up for spud. Said it before with IW2 the company could help its self by creating a bit of excitement by having a time lapse camera in situ so we could watch what is happening. I for one would find it fascinating to watch the set up of the rig and camp.

Your right Brom somebody still selling off from the placing I expect, its been going on for a while now. Hopefully once cleared we will start to move upwards, although there were a lot of shares issued last time around. Lets hope that DW has done his stuff and we will not need any more placings.

Never that info cost more than a mint, it cost us upwards of 18mil. It was not under any circumstances a success.

I must admit Brom I cannot remember any discussion about not going with any heating equipment either here or at any of the presentations, but I may have missed it. To late now but it has potentially put us back by years. Considering how damn important IW2 was/is to the company they should have been ready for any eventuality, saving a few mil then may we’ll have cost us a huge amount. Maybe it’s just my military background where you prepare for the worst case and then be pleasantly surprised when it all goes well, rather that the “oh sh.t what do we do now” which is was happened.

Agreed Silver trader although I am not sure by what you mean about IW1 which was an exploratory well that is now filled full of concrete. It did however tell us that there is oil down there. I am glad somebody else agrees that the company cocked up with IW2, I strongly expect that there was a certain amount of overconfidence in that it was going to flow lots of oil straight away. When it didn't they were caught short which led to that out of the blue shut in for winter. I know Brombard will come on and say it was obvious because winter was coming, but I think most people believed that the company had plans in place to mitigate. There had certainly been no mention of winter shut in in any of the plans. If there had been and people were aware perhaps the SP would not have taken the deep dive it did.

Wizard why do you think because there are more wells planned that that will increase the oil in place numbers. As far as I am aware number of wells has nothing at all to do with oil in place/reserves. Happy to be told otherwise.

Reaper very happy for it to stand with your correction, but I do think the company cocked up that drill a little bit. I don't think leaving all that water down there for nearly a year did any good at all. Anyhow hopefully Baker Hughes will tell us how to get that oil out.

I seem to recall various maps that were produced, having the HRZ under almost all of our leased land. Just imagine where we would be now if IW2 had flowed. I really hope we can get somebody to have a go with us on the HRZ the potential is huge. Trouble is there is so much oil being found at the moment that companies may just feel its not worth the risk. If that's the case then I hope we can find the funds through our conventional FO to have another go ourselves.

Thats interesting money hawk that they have reduced the numbers on the HRZ. If I remember correctly those numbers were based off our initial acreage before we leased a lot more. Surprising really that they have not had a go at revising those figures upwards. I suppose that there is little point until we prove we can get the oil out. It's easy to forget how important the HRZ could be to the company, it's potentially worth billions. Shame we got it wrong, but it would be nice to hear what the experts have to say as it has been in their hands now for quite some time.

I hope so Jiddy, it seems like a very long time ago that we were actually drilling IW2. As I recall that drill went down really quickly. Shame bugger all came out.

Surprised we have not had on operations RNS this morning as the rig should have reached the pad by now anyhow onwards and upwards. Oh yes, there is far to much action happening with the uk oiler at the moment over 100million traded already today already. Not much money left for 88e at the moment, we need oil flowing out of the ground in large amounts to attract some attention.
