They did not buy in for a long term investment with a company that even if the drill finds oil, it is trapped for the next 5/10 years minimum. Even then Conico hold all the cards as it will be their infrastructure that will need connecting to. They will just wait it out until 88e are no more then buy up the leases. I say all this as an ex 88e investor for 6 years.

Hug if you find this risky I would stay away from exploration companies as its risky work. However, this has been derisked considerably and is just about as good as it can get. The big drill Theta West looking at 1.4 billions of barrels of recoverable oil has just been proved to flow at a sub optimal position in the field. We will know in the next few weeks how much oil and what it flows at.

Phoebus go do some homework before posting the nonsense you just have. We were not even looking for a flow rate from this part of the well just that the oil was moveable, to get a flow rate at all is brilliant. It proves that Theta West which is hopefully optimally placed will flow, they are looking for 70/80 barrels a day from this well . We have a number of other layers to flow test on this well which is where they are expecting a lot more oil.

PS we are right next to the pipeline so extraction costs are going to be low.
