Weather looks alright from Monday for a week, cold but little wind and sunny so they need to crack on finish up the LBFF and get the UBFF done. That will give us a good winter campaign, leaving the SMD to be tested this summer. If they cut and run I will not be happy as they have plenty of cash to do this.

Thought so we are well down this morning lets hope it steadies up and we don't lose yesterdays small gain.

Disappointing end to what should have been an excellent day. In my opinion not helped by the RNS which gave the impression that this winter campaign is all but over. No mention of testing the upper BFF , no mention of getting back to have another go at the SMD. So out of the three big things to test they manged one the lower BFF and even that not fully yet. Flaky campaign with a few too many problems (yes I know weather is not within their control). Combine this with the statement that focus now moves to the summer campaign and those not in for the long term have decided to move on to their next one minute wonder. Hopefully I am completely wrong but despite the success of the LBBF it still does not feel like we have made the most of this winter. Now maybe the intent is still to try and achieve everything above in which case that RNS should have stated we are laser like focused on completing the programme as long as the weather allows. , Anyhow that RNS does not give people the slam dunk feeling. Lets see what happens in the next few days and there is still plenty of winter left they should have at least 2/3 more weeks. All my opinion of course.

Not sure what happened to my last post you only got the last sentence. I will post my thoughts on the disappointing end to what should have been a very good day later.

SMD would also be good to get done but now seems we will have to wait for the summer.

Good result but operations this winter have been flaky at best. Too many problems of one sort or another (yes I know weather cannot be controlled). I have been waiting for a clear RNS with just good news, but yet again we get good news which will be hauled back by a bunch of not so good news. Where is the testing of the Upper basin floor fan (no mention), no mention of going back and trying to finish flow testing the SMD. Very frustrating as all this cold weather should allow operations to continue into late April. Come on guys let’s get this done otherwise we will be into building ice roads again (with all the associated costs) next year to the same wells to complete the data picture.

I agree Marmaris to push out a video like that if it was not going well would be very stupid. Although I have seen it done last year with a certain company hunting for helium who days before results were due put out a video of two people swimming in a lake with helium bubbles breaking the surface. Everybody took it that the company was swimming in helium and that the drill must be a success. Only to be told a couple of days later that they had not found helium. A real shame the CEO decided to do that as he was extremely well regarded by everybody. I pulled out at a loss but could no longer trust him or the board. Lets hope this turns out the right way as I do trust Jay and crew.

You are entirely correct Scott got it mixed up in my head. The oil is indeed from Talitha. As to the rest of your fact check that is only your conjecture, anyhow I was pointing out that the more holes in the ground proving up the formation the better. I seem to recall that Talitha is supposed to be at the best location for the SMD in which case it is important that it flows. All my opinion of course.

Beetle the oil is from the flow test at Alkaid and will taken up to Deadhorse 20 odd miles away where there are the facilities to check the quality of the oil before it is put in the pipeline to get across Alaska where it is then shipped to refineries (not sure if Alaska has a refinery) the pipeline is owned and maintained by Alyeska a private company, I presume they are the ones who pay PANR for the oil, at a reduced amount of course as there is a fee for using the pipeline. This is how any oil produced from this summers well on its prolonged test will be sold.

Thanks Sefton its a shame that this board is so quiet, but not really surprising as you will get jumped all over if somebody well known disagrees with you. Sad really as he is very knowledgeable but cannot contain himself and has to insult all and sundry. With such few posts on this BB it never gets highlighted and hence many people do not find us and therefore do not take the opportunity to buy into what is a really good share which is on the cusp of going bonkers.

Cringsing whilst the SMD may flow at Alkaid the more you can prove up an oilfield the easier it will be to sell and the more money you will get. Whilst Alkaid might show the SMD flows in that location the more wells with good flows the better. It would be a real shame if we do not have time to have another go.

Just too many problems at the moment. I was going to say mistakes but that only accounts for the concrete problem. We have had the wireline, concrete and now blocked frac holes. The concrete has been fixed and the wireline should not matter too much as other testing was done, but the departure from Talitha without getting the flow test completed (whilst the right decision) just makes the average investor who is not totally savvy with oil exploration in Alaska very nervous. Personally I think it important that they have another go at getting the SMD to flow at Talitha as otherwise its another 10 mile ice road next year to go back and have another go, plus associated equipment. Even if we flow the SMD this summer nobody is going to believe that Talitha would have flowed without proving it. Lets hope its a long winter.

Neil in the business PANR are in, where the costs are in the millions for just about anything they do, you don't just reserve something you put a contract in place. Which means if somebody cannot then provide there are large penalties involved. If PANR do not get around to flow testing Talitha SMD in the next month then it is going to cost them a whole whack of money next year to go back and have another go eg 10 mile Ice road, coiled unit, camp etc. They really need to get it done this winter.

Legin It won't be coming from us. Come on I am all for a good ramp but you are spouting utter rubbish. There will be no oil from this oil field for at least 5 years and that is properly too early. Willow has to be built and connected up and a pipe from Merlin to Willow. Come on don't try and sucker people into buying with poor information.

Yes a pretty rubbish response to getting something wrong. He delights in trying to get people to say sorry for making incorrect statements and is damned unpleasant about it as well. Yet when the time comes for him to admit he gave incorrect information he cannot bring himself to fess up and say sorry. Says it all really. Anyhow the company has made the correct decision in the circumstance but now needs to ensure no more human errors, and that they get a rift on. I want to see that unit back at Talitha and the tests completed this winter, otherwise we will be building another ice road next year (at a considerable cost) to once again try and complete the flow testing, and yes it is needed despite what we do during the summer because it all adds to delineating the oil field and extra proof for selling off.

Great time to pick up some more, keep selling chaps, this is like last year when people bailed ignoring all the good news. I specifically set aside some dosh for exactly this situation.

Mem Its gone up today because of the news that the rig is returning to Deadhorse in the next 36 hours. It must have already been on the move for 24 hours to reach the main road. Add in a day or two to pack up from operations and it means that all should be okay with the well as otherwise they would have had to notify us and have had plenty of time to do that. Does not mean that the well will flow but it means that little bit of doubt hanging over the well has been removed.

Needs a gravel pad built first that can only be done when the snow and ice have melted. Plenty happening in the mean time to keep us all entertained.

We will be seeing that rig again in the summer drilling our first production well and maybe a second one depending on how the finances are looking. Continued news for PANR rather than the normal summer shutdown and wait for next winter. Gives us something to look forward to this summer along with all the technical results from this winter.
