Usually, when companies issue rns's, they put the item they are most excited about and want everyone to see first, at the beginning of the rns. There is then the descending order of importance, from the company's perspective. Everyone knows that a lot of market participants will only read headlines or the first paragraph in an rns, so to reach widest audience, the bit they want you to see is first. The fact that zenith is taking about a new carbonate prospect running across the two fields, muradkhani and jafarli and put this, as the first item in the rns, says to me that they are extremely excited about this discovery. These fields are large and the fact they say it runs across both fields, could mean it it is significant in size. We have no further details yet, however, this could turn out to be a serious upgrade in reserves, once proved up. Then they move on to zardab, which is throwing up some results, which have encouraged them to expand the survey and consider additional drilling at z21 or go straight to z3. The focus of the workover programme is clearly in zardab for the foreseeable future. This is a good update on progress and gives a clear indication that they feel these fields have much more to offer than previously thought. I always pay attention to the structure of an rns, as it indicates the priorities of the company, you will note their references to z4 and z14 are at the bottom of the page, as these are further out than the others and whilst are providing good data, they are not the top priority. good update today.

I know the target of 1000 bopd by end march, which, this time last year, all of us here, were absolutely sure about it being hit, no problem whatsoever, however, we were all wrong and they are currently producing less than this time last year. It seems ESP's have either increased production to the levels the wells were at before, or simply maintained the production profile as it was. There must be some merit to what they see with the pumps, otherwise they would not have continued to instal them, although each well has its own characteristics. fair point on the more challenging workovers, M195, z28 have not delivered and z21 is taking longer than most expected, however, Mike has indicated that the soviet era data they were using was woefully inaccurate and more often than not, they are working blind on the wells, finding out stuff as they go. This is why andrea got this field without any upfront payments, as it is a challenging field, that the majors do not want, as it is too small for them and most others see it as too challenging for them. It was offered to a junior in this way, because they knew how hard it would be to work it over. We should be under no illusions about andreas failed promises. He expected good results and bragged about it, however, it has not delivered as he expected, hence is less than animated persona these days.

I'll second that, if I am not optimistic about a stock, I either sell or go short. Either way, I have to be optimistic to comfortably hold a long position.

you will also note that andrea talked of how they are viewing the whole project from a 25 year point of view and not a month by month timeframe, after which he said that despite that, these wells in zardab are important. Reading between the lines there, he is indicating that he is unconcerned by the share price, the fickle shareholders and they are expecting to be there for many years to come. There plans are stretched out, much further than most holders of stock are thinking and that they expect some wells to succeed, others to produce less, others to produce more, some stop sooner, some need ESP's, however, this is an ongoing process, that does not have stop, starts, like entry and exit points for traders/investors. They are planning the drilling and seismic stages, as well as the workover program that is in play. There is plenty of commentary around, about how some wells will not produce as expected, some ESP installations will not increase production at all and will simply maintain it at existing levels. Whilst it is dissapointing to get delays and no oil from some wells, that is part of the risk, that everyone is aware of before buying and O and G stock. They have a 25 year licence, probably a ten year plan and we can understand the projects and make money along the way on the peaks and troughs of the share price.

Buying territory in my view. mcap is about �10.8m, and they generate over �350k a month revenue, so on an annualised basis, that is �4.2m, giving us a price to sales ratio of 2.5 - pretty low in my view, especially with forward expectations, although historical performance is the drag here, not the quality of the assets.

I felt that they were struggling and the stock price was going to fall back, so I took profits, exited and waited. I missed the lows around mid 6's, as I was looking for the beginnings of the reversal. As they are much closer to completing z21, the possibility of a significant uplift in production in azer, along with a large uplift in production, by acquisition means there are share price triggers on the horizon. I have opened a new position here today, after going over the rns's again since january, to remind myself of progress to date. The interview with malcy is good and Andrea admitted that he has over egged things a bit before, hence the dumbing down of his expectations, which is a good thing in my view. There is a lot less downside at these levels and therefore less risk to principal, so I am building a position from here. As to how long I hold it, well, that greatly depends on the progress on the ground and the share price itself.

Perhaps you should look in the mirror the next time you refer to someone as the c word, then you will see the real cXXt. As to my position in any stock - I rarely disclose an actual position - no need to.
