I suppose if he bought 200 million everyone would be posting that it's too many and he has too much control and will take the company private etc etc..

I find it annoying when they do that because it generates a stupid RNS headline saying "capital has been expanded".. yeah.. by £700... the RNS alone probably costs more than that in admin costs.. plus anyone subscribing to RNS headlines will think it's so sort of non-trivial dilution..

I see someone exercised their out of the money warrants and gave the company £700 by paying 30p for shares they could have bought on the exchange for 4.8p ;-) Very charitable indeed..

On AIM any holdings over 3% have to be disclosed. You are meant to notify asap. Looking at the trades it looks like they were all done on Friday.

Well.. Blackrock had 38 million shares at the time of their previous holding RNS on 8th August. All we know now is they have a holding < 3% so they have sold either 8m shares or maybe the whole lot..

I don't think Blackrock need to report their exact holding anymore now it's under 3%.. it's probably just rebalancing of their UK small cap funds / AIM trackers.. I am not reading too much into it..

I doubt delisting would happen since the lack of Institutional holders would make it hard for them to get a majority..

Delisting isn't the end of the world anyway - you still keep your shares.. you just don't have to watch meaningless daily share price movements on this circus AIM exchange... at least moving the listing to another exchange would be a positive.. perhaps TSX venture or a Nasdaq Junior market.. AIM is just embarrassing..

The AIM Exchange.. currently there are significant tax benefits to investing in AIM stocks (no Inheritance Tax / Capital Gains or Dividend Tax) etc.. rumours are the Government will close these exemptions so the market will attract less investor interest.

Blackrock holding gone from 3.78% to under 3%.. they could be out entirely... I think potentially them are front-running Govt.. changes to AIM market.. at least in their UK Small Cap Tracker Portfolio's

Well.. if I was a James (Jim) Bond baddie.. I'd just buy up £17.5m of shares at 5p... price probably wouldn't even move then.. giving myself a majority 51% and then take it private with a tender offer at 7p... bearing in mind ~£12m of the assets are cash you aren't even risking much.. getting an interesting portfolio on the cheap... essentially funded by us retail monkeys..

Just a question - but why buy such a small amount.. surely transaction fees alone eat that up?

To be fair.. all Jim needs to do is sit back and let the market price drop to 1p... no need to do any PR etc to bolster it.. the NAV could increase to whatever.. so he gets to pay himself in new shares & dilute us.. few institutions will be risking AIM at the moment with the Labour Govt potentially wrecking it end of this month.. then he could just buy the entire company & merge it with New Agrarian for < £8m.. and we all get shafted!

It could probably be trading for less than cash and nobody serious would step in to buy in any size on this dumpy AIM market..

I bought a few to reduce my loss to 50%.... so if after the suspension it bounces up to 3p I've broken even..

I agree... the more likely scenario is it being a zero.. punt at best..

Seems there are concerns from LSE senior management that AIM could be at mortal risk if Labour cut the tax breaks. I’m sure tracker funds are already selling due to redemptions.

The Board should just move our stock listing to North America.

I got confirmation from ANIC Investor Relations that the Vitrolabs holding has indeed been written down substantially as indicated in the most recent ANIC NAV update. Apparently Vitro struggled with progress post-Covid so new capital raising was highly dilutive. ANIC no longer has a Board seat in Vitro.
