Quite a patronising message there, so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here. I guess we'll see who's right if the price continues to fall, or if it returns and continues growing to above its peak like you seem to indicate. Using your own words, "be greedy when everyone is fearful and fearful when everyone is greedy", I completely agree. It has already lost well over 40% of its price from the peak, and in my opinion this isn't remotely fearful. It is if anything extremely confident, hence the high pricing and the general confidence of amateur investors on here.

I agree that asos is a great company and will no doubt continue to grow over the future, but P/E 100...? Really? If I was to consider investing, it would be right after a bit of mediocre news which could easily wipe off 50-80% off the SP. Sure, it may never happen, but with the economy how it is I wouldn't be surprised,

The price has gone down in a nice downward trend for the last 6 months and is continuing to do so. Don't listen to people who tell you to buy a stock on a forum. The fact is that a price/earnings of 100 is exceptionally high, especially considering how tough the current climate is. It represents extreme optimisim of the future. In my opinion, I don't tend to get involved in those kind of companies, since the slightest bit of news which is anything other than amasing could cause the beginning of a huge chunk of the SP disappearing.

.. You have noted that the P/E is near 100, right? Yes growth is high but it can't go on forever and this stock is priced at around 10 times the current market average given the scale of its earnings.. Is it really sensible to assume it will grow to 5-10 times this size imminently (and this doesn't even include discounting!)? If one piece of bad news comes out and ASOS' growth rate stumble, the SP could fall hugely imo. A potentially great short.
