My thoughts7 Aug 2020 16:25
I have been watching this BB for a number of weeks now. I have held AVCT shares for a while.
This will be my first (and potentially last) post, I have to say the amount of banal platitudes posted here are amusing. There are however, some very good posts from what I can only assume are genuine investors with real fundamental analysis values attached to their investing style (these are the people to keep in mind when reading these BB's).
My two cents for what they are worth are thus;
This stock is not for those looking to make a quick buck (as Benjamin G says "You must never delude yourself into thinking that you're investing when you're speculating"). In my opinion this stock is going do very well over time, I would suggest a minimum or 2-3 year time frame to see real returns that people on this board always seem to get so excited about. Of course the opportunity presented by the Covid-19 crisis potentially means this stock will go up substantially in the shorter term. However, this shouldn't be your main reason for holding this stock.
One of the few VC in Europe (if not the only one) have Avacta as a client. They do immense research before getting into bed with any company, this VC have an excellent track record of taking companies like AVCT into the big leagues. The collaborations that AVCT have made with Cytiva/Medusa 19/Daewoong/Integumen/LSTM/Adeptrix show me that they have a clear strategy. The links they have tied with UK and USA governments, Condor and Rockefeller Foundation (RADx) are fantastic and should not be misunderstood.
It is only a matter of time before the news everyone is waiting for arrives. For me, I don't speculate on day to day SP fluctuations as its fairly pointless. If you have DYOR, trust in AVCT then sit back, relax and watch your investment grow over time.
Sincerely,
