Look. I want to be fair. I checked previous trials and work by Matthijs Moerland and this type of trial involves a lot of labwork. It still has some almost immediately available readouts that should have been communicated.

But another strange thing about this trial is that I can't find a registry in any of the clinical trial databases. We need this so that we know where the goalposts (pre determined readouts) are. Also, they didn't even mention what phase it was on the company website, let alone other details.

Going back to trial registries, it was supposed to be registered on the Netherlands trial registry but that is inactive as they prepare their new portal.

However, current and past trials should have already been tranfered to ICTRP or registered at the european or another recognised portal.

Nowhere to be found and in my book that is dodgy as hell.

6 months for "analysis". Do you know how long it takes to analyse 3 groups of 12? About 15 min for the clinical readouts (exlcuding labwork). Add a couple of months for the rest and that is generous. The only reason they pushed it to Q2 (probably towards the end) is to delay announcing the results.

James, it is highly likely that it did not go great. They said they would be announcing early data and if it were good they would be focusing on that. JS mentioned a "deep dive" and whoever is familiar with the wording in this type of announcements expects that they will try to focus on trends/signals from the full analysis because it did not go as expected on the primary edpoints.

The main point is if they failed on the efficacy primary endpoind(s) and they need to repeat that with different parameters then it is unlikely that they will attract a b8g partner until they demonstrate whatever this trial was supposed to demonstrate

If the next step is a phase 3, and it does not look like that right now, then there is a good chance they will find a partner. If the next step is designing another phase 2 with different parameters (it looks likely imho) then it is going to be harder to get big pharma involved before the second trial reads out.

Well, they get some signals which helps them to design the next step. This is technically true for any result of any trial. Standard wording in this situation but it does not mean what you think it does.

It does not look positive. For the sake of everyone I hope it is a communication issue but based on what I heard on the interview my guess is they failed on primary endpoint(s).
