Technically that split has always been the case as per the MOU, which I guess was based on initial Zim diamond policy intent. One thing I did pickup on James' podcast was the order of the split, it sounded to me like he said the 86/14 JV split is between Vast+BOD and THEN Vast pass on 25% to Red Mercury ? If it's Vast + BOD split before RM, and Vast then passes 25% of the remainder to RM we yield about 54%. If it's Vast + RM split before BOD, and Vast then passes 14% of the remainder to BOD we yield about 64%. It depends on specifics of the deal, just something I picked up on and perhaps will be published in more detail as and when news is released. I tend to overthink things tho so DYOR... in any event 54% or 64% is still better than farkawl :)
I note in BoD's version of the RNS they confirm the block name and true concession size: 6913 hectares / 69km2
That's a lot of ground potential right there; I guess the due diligence was done partly to confirm to Red Mercury the potential of the entire claim (keep in mind 15km2 was the area size quoted in prior RNSs) - some clarification from AP on the whole area would be nice if someone could ask, might be an AGM question.
Patien, bit of an overreaction, the assets have a value, wouldn't lose it all in the worst case, and there are lots of financing options available, but this is all wild speculation and no need to talk like that at this time :)
Okay so quarterlies are due soon which will reflect a more accurate cash position, plus the Mercuria drawdown on top, we're a producing company, not an explorer. Real gems and metallics are sitting in the ground and we have licences to unearth it all :)
Some pics and vids of the cores and operations may help go some way to showing people the dollars we're sitting on.
We need better marketing, PR, an overhaul of the website, and to use each RNS as an opportunity to push the message - we are not a one-trick pony, we're a god damn strutting stallion!
Ok I'll turn down the optimism, but in all seriousness, clear, concise and consistent communication will go a long way to help Vast.
As of today Marange should have a very big banner with a big arrow pointing on the map on Vast's website.. but no mention of it at all.
I think this is solid enough news to now warrant it's own section on the website. There should be at least a holding page with a little background history, namedrop BOD at the same time, not too much to ask of the webmasters...
Minirant over.
I'd argue this is not the same company anymore.. this is now becoming beast-like, it just needs a clear and wide message and to shake off its history. Midtier miner in the making here of that there is no doubt.
Needs to be sung from the rooftops.
