Spry wasn't happy either 'cos' a day later he downgraded his stance on Newcrest. Yes, Newcrest desperately need to get Telfer back on track and to fast-track Havieron. No wonder they've got 6 rigs on the go!

Is he revealing his actual plans here for Havieron or is he speculating?

And then he speculates about the possible continuation of the high grade 'trend'. Why would he speculate in that way in a public forum if it wasn't true? He may as well have said 'we've got what we've found so far and with more drilling we may find more or not'. Instead he uses terms like 'continue to find' and 'trend'. That's hardly non-committal.

And then he uses the term 'hiatus' and the prevention of. Hiatus with reference to what? Is this reference to the Telfer facility? The inference being that Havieron is indeed the saviour of Telfer.

I bet Newcrest bid for Havieron (100%) and to the NW (BH) as well in the hope that it extends that far. Not sure how that would work in terms of agreement but I believe Havieron if monetised would underpin GGP's current market value and more simply because it's high grade and essential to the economic future of Telfer

I suppose when you see the value of your holding go from for example £150k to £100k in two days, you would be forgiven for feeling a little insane. It's called being human, we are frail and prone to error

The total monetary value of all daily trades is, as well, misleading as you could have delayed publications of trades from yesterday and even before then...in a general sense, the daily volume figure is a guesstimate give or take a %

Lp - Not all is as it seems. When a large trade is printed in the buy column, it isn't necessarily a buy and the same applies to a sale. The software used to determine the nature of a trade (buy or sell) uses the mid-price as a reference point and makes an education guess. That guess is sometimes incorrect

Ignore the buy and sells column...it's crap and it's meaningless..it's a puzzle you'll never work out and that's the objective....transparency in the market is not encouraged

kemp - that's my thinking as well...moving stock from terrified retail holders like us lot to professional funds...daylight robbery but that's the stock-market

Did you find the liquidity in anyway restricted? Could you easily sell in volume and buy back in volume at current prices. If the answer was no, it does point to the possibility that today us lot (retail traders) were competing with the big boys for stock at lower prices, of course
