Strangely enough, I was just going to comment on the share price of Newcrest and how it's heading in the opposite direction to a rising gold price. I'd say that's perverse but then the market's not too happy with Newcrest at present. Their figures are a disappointment to the market. Telfer facility needs reinvigorating with high grade ore to boost its earnings and margins...all that low grade crap ain't doing anyone any good

That's correct and does beg the question where are these disclosures? Considering over 3.6 Billion shares have changed hands in the last 4 weeks or so it surely cannot be correct to assume that no changes in shareholdings have taken place. The number of shares in issue (diluted) is around 3.5bn. That is a huge turnover is stock for a small AIM company and not a single RNS to confirm any change in shareholding. Exciting and mind-numbing in equal measure

I'm encouraged by this volume. It does suggest major player interest (tend to have a longer term interest) in the stock rather than retail (mug punters like me)

It's an exchange of ideas fella. It's a learning process. The process isn't wholly about arriving at a fundamental valuation of GGP but about learning the process of arriving at the valuation so by learning such skills you are able to apply them to other natural resource stocks when you move on from GGP and seek other opportunities elsewhere
