this is an excellent insight for anyone who feels the compulsion to understand what the hell is sometimes going on with the MMs but the MMs always have the advantage over us, that's just the way it is

one of the market makers is a seller (the counter-party to the buyer ie me and you) on the book so no matter how much buying there is if this MM's line of stock is greater than the volume buying he will sell at lower and lower prices, then you'll see a falling price until the MM has cleared his line of stock

What you don't see is the line of stock being cleared by the MM as that's invisible to our eyes...we only we the visible record of buying and selling intra-day

What's been said is correct, we never get to see the WHOLE picture until the picture is revealed to the muppets (me)

will - Ah, and there's the rub. It's our task to judge whether this is true or untrue. That's where market insight becomes important. Seeing and recognising those patterns of strength (support) and weakness (resistance) and using that judgement to exit or enter.

Some say timing is irrelevant (Buffet). I'd say that's crap though of course it's a matter of personal wealth and the timescales you're able to absorb price volatility that may damage your capital worth.

I did hold Mariana for a small while before Sandstorm's approach. I continue to focus on the term 'HIGH GRADE' as this what attracted me to Mariana and I sold that too soon. Not this time. High grade discoveries are like hen's teeth. they don't come along very often and with a block-cave specialist as our partner, a processing facility on the corner and in a safe jurisdiction...it's a pleasing set of box ticks

Sandstorm purchased a 1% NSR royalty interest over Antipa’s North Telfer property last year and during our due diligence process we spent some time evaluating the region and our technical team likes the prospectivity very much. The best case for us is that Antipa makes a meaningful discovery at North Telfer but all of the exploration activity in the region helps as new models and understandings of the mineralization are shared.

As far as the Havieron discovery, I can’t speculate on how big it might be. But given that Newcrest has 6 drill rigs on site, that is a very good sign.

The Paterson region is going to continue to attract new investors and explorers given the successes at Winu and Havieron and the fact that there is a multi-million ounce producer right in the middle of it all.

CB - I still hold a position in SOLG but it's not as large as it used to be. The only reason I am still in it is Mather's substantial presence (various guises) on the register. I'm sure he has a plan to monetise Cascabel but I'm not sure what that it is, and neither does the market. I'm hoping for a takeover (the whole company) of some form but when? who knows

That's not the way the market works. What you're buying here is POTENTIAL and as that potential is slowly realised the price moves higher to reflect that progress or not as the case maybe. Once the potential is delivered and expectations satisfied, that is when the price starts to wobble as speculative monies leave the stock. You can that process with SOLG.

As an explorer GGP must not be tempted to get draw into mining...the capex demands can sink a small company ala SXX...to gain something you have to give up something and that's called dilution..for small resources companies there's ALWAYS dilution in one form or another
