We are seeking two Senior Mine Design & Planning Engineers to provide internal mining engineering support for studies into the design of future block cave projects. This role will play an active part in building and sustaining technical and strategic caving capability within Newcrest.

Reporting into the Principal Mine Design & Planning Engineer, your duties will also include:

Contributing to the continued improvement of safety and cost performance
Medium, long term & strategic mine planning of caving projects
Evaluating various existing, emerging and new mining technologies
Delivering assigned activities within scope, budget and time constraints
Assisting the Principal Mine Design & Planning Engineer to ensure clear articulation of the objectives and goals
Training and mentoring colleagues to develop and enhance technical skills

TYe fact the CGP referenced the big three (New, BHP and BlackR) suggests they spoken to all three and they've agreed to CGP's referencing of them in this formal market release. CGP would not do this if they thought they had zero chance of achieving what they have proposed
