'VOD debt was about €46Bn at H1 last year. Whats it going to be H1 this year?
I guess €33Bn. Market should like that reduction surely?'
..should add that would represent a 28% reduction in debt H1 on H1. No wonder MDV says debt is no longer a problem

'Isn't it close of play today determines the fyse reshuffle ?? '

'Maths is hard'
Lol, 126p will be good enough for me
'maybe even a major deal with e& if they keep going..'
anyone know what regulatory permissions e& is getting for VOD country by country over the next 3 or 4 months. When they have them, is that just to increase to 20%+ holding or is there really a prospect of a bid having got regulatory approvals. If they bid, the BoD and shareholders wont accept 73p
'5 years -60%. FTSE -2%'
58% upside from here at least?
'I took the div as income when the SP was 77p last week. '
Well done, nice!
Too many bad feeling posts.
I got a good feeling.
...and that dividend wants to reinvest at these low prices but sadly it's going to be spent on wine, women and song

I have a theory about tomorrow.
'All brontosauruses are thin at one end, much MUCH thicker in the middle, and then thin again at the far end. That is the theory that I have and which is mine, and what it is'
I also think the NAS will continue to tank and VOD will rise from its ashes.
'Turned out nice again '
'The downward pressure here is intense'
You in the toilet Jax?
'Look at RR joke of a company '
Took profit on RR and bought more VOD 10.4% yield!! SP cum div 4th Aug I think. Market starting to work as risk is being priced better imho
'they just need sectioning'
my shrink says you are probably suffering from depression and anxiety due to the SP going up.
Jax and Gutter, sitting in a tree
Kay aye ess ess aye en gee
VOD to the moon!!
Robleo, yes good luck and have a good weekend. NAS still falling/ reweighting
Robleo, yeah I did. The SP been going up recently?
Can short VOD and if it goes 60's great. Is it likely to jump 10% on results ? Is it likely to drop on good news and 11% div?
Yeah agree. Doomsters p*** off. Its never going to 60's LoL unless MDV was telling porky pies. If she was telling the truth, to the moon and Rishi will give her a seat in the house of lards to replace livingstone
'GoodDay'
And long may it continue. Looked like some selling..maybe that's shorts closing on inflation good news?
'If VOD try to raise prices, consumers hard up or otherwise can easily find better deals in this market. Churn will be massive if they blindly raise by 14%.'
The headline price rises can be misleading of course. Acquisition, Retention, Churn all come with a cost and a bottom line impact. You can be certain losing 1,000 customers wont dent the bottom line. Losing 1,000,000 would. If you are buying a handset and taking service you are committed to the terms of the contract for 3 or 4 years. If you think only about price and service and have a reconditioned handset, you will find the best deal when your service comes up for renewal. In any event, will phase in over years and all operators will competing on price and quality etc
The largest network usually creates the most value for customers, hence 3 Vod UK merger also looks an interesting.
'As part of its proposed merger with Three UK, Vodafone has committed to retaining all current measures to support vulnerable customers affected by the cost-of-living crisis, including social tariffs and digital inclusion campaigns.
Which? director of policy and advocacy Rocio Concha said: “We’re pleased that Vodafone has responded with this new faster offering following Which?’s campaigning in this area.'
