That would be lovely - no more shocks - the only thing niggling me is if things were going well and in line or better than previous update - wouldnt they have took the opportunity to mention something in yesterday's RNS to try and limit the impact - thoughts anyone ?
to everyone out there saying Asos are going under, 500 coming etc etc. This is a world class company with £bn's in revenue. Like many others, this is going through a real tough time - inflation, interest rates, war, energy etc. Yes they got things wrong and took too long to appoint a new CEO etc - the reasons why are endless - BUT - all of the above are only relevant right now and they all will change. Why wouldn't you look for a new CFO / COO if the current one has managed such a decline in share price and profitability ?? Asos are in transition and those that can wait, should wait it out. £50 might have been a little high valuation but certainly sub £30 isnt for a global brand as big as this. I have said many times on here that I am well under - been averaging down from £35 but I am waiting patiently for time to change - and they will - so those that agree just do the same and ignore the noise. Those that disagree, sell up and move on. Those that are not invested - do something more meaningful with your time. ATB.
Jon - please behave - as much as I love your posts and wish they were true, unfortunately they are not. Ashley will not buy and it will take 12 to 24 months to see a great gain. Question - why have you only just started to ramp Asos ?
I am well under here so would love a $2.4bn offer from MASH tomorrow BUT..... he currently owns less than 3% right now so lets not waste our time and energy getting excited thinking Mike Ashley is going to buy ASOS - not happening. Let's focus on fundamentals and also macro economic situation - recovery WILL happen and this is a great opportunity BUT it will take 12 to 24 months and in the meantime have sympathy for all those (including me) that bought at £30 plus.
