Good news both - with maybe a little help from the Fed in next couple of hours, some good news Friday from 'fiscal event' and then a decent update from Boo next week - who knows, we could make some positive steps forward - and then a new CFO etc
We can agree to differ as significant decline the day the RNS hit - and then continued wider market decline as you noted which tbf I hadnt noticed before so thanks - anyway, whatever we think, end result is the same right now.
Treacle - I agree with you I just get a little emotional with this one as at face value I’ve lost a fortune. One thing I will say though re communication is that the board seem ok speaking to analysts before any market update via RNS….Anyway, let’s hope we’re at the bottom and Friday’s budget gives this and many other shares in retail travel and hospitality the support they need.
Agree Treacle but I saw something yesterday that said Asos is worst performing stock in 2022 (look under the ASC share news icon on here from yesterday) - and surely the board can give more regular updates on what is going on in the boardroom for instance, new CFO, NED search, monthly operational / sales updates during this difficult time - communication is key during difficult times - any organisation / leadership should know that. At the moment all we are doing is guessing which is adding to the fear and playing into shorters hands.
Simon - i am proper nervous about that too - if anything given the trading update RNS I would have hoped shorts would start to decrease as there isnt (we hope) any more doom and gloom to come from the board but that action worries me especially as the boardroom seems to be in a mess. Take your point re averaging down - I have been doing that all the way and still have an uncomfortable average having invested a too large a chunk of money - very uneasy position right now
Not sure why you would sell at this price - obviously at a loss - if you look at 5 to 6 year trend, been here 2 or 3 times and recovered 12 months later…. Yes we haven’t been this low but we should at least expect a decent recovery in 12 to 18 months in my view
You are probably right but I think the FED will go 75bps and at the moment fear of 100 is driving the market IMO. BOE will probably go 0.5% which I think is well priced in. As an aside - anyone know when next set of results are out ?
