Industry of Japan, against the background of the situation around Ukraine, has compiled a list of goods and materials imported from the Russian Federation, the import of which will be problematic to replace in the short term. This is stated in a document published by the agency on Thursday.
The list includes seven items: oil, coal, liquefied natural gas (LNG), gas used in the production of semiconductors, palladium, ferroalloys for steel production and ferroalloys for stainless steel production. It is emphasized that Japan's dependence on imports of these goods from Russia is extremely high, as a result of which the agency calls on other exporting countries to intensify the relevant production.
According to the Japanese Ministry, Japan's dependence on the Russian Federation in oil supplies is 3.6%, on LNG supplies - 8.8%. At the same time, palladium imports from the Russian Federation account for 43% of all Japanese imports of this material.
Interesting..
