EV manufacturers are touting bonkers 0-60 performance as a selling point. There will be carnage on the roads in the years to come as a result of widespread availability of these cars in the hands of irresponsible and young drivers lacking the driving skills to handle them. Tories are pushing nuclear and heat pumps - crazy. Our only hope is they get dumped at the next general election. Never thought I would say that as a lifetime Tory voter. They have really lost the plot since the Brexit vote.

I would be interested to hear the feedback including whether supplementary heating I needed in very cold spells and the impact of electricity price increases. This is being touted as the preferred solution over hydrogen blending and eventual transition to 100% hydrogen boilers but you hear very little about running costs.

People are beginning to realise that ground source heat pumps are not only expensive to install the running costs can be higher than a gas boiler. Remember the Govt promoting diesel cars as cheaper and more efficient then taxing them higher.........now it's ground source heat pumps as their latest fad.
